2016 Heritage Updates

Jesus says that His yoke is easy and His burden is light.  After a few months of some much needed rest, Rick and I came to the realization that we were carrying some heavy burdens that were completely draining our strength.  The Lord showed us that by balancing our time and not taking on more than we can manage, we will be able to more easily accomplish everything we need to do and still fulfill the call of God on our lives.

During our sabbatical, we have kept track of what is and what has been taking place on the grounds of the former Heritage USA since January of this year.

As we continue chronicling the happenings on the grounds, we also streamlined the Heritage Updates renaming the report Heritage Highlights, which will consist of updates posted quarterly.  In this way, we will lighten our work load and still provide updates for everyone who has an interest in Heritage USA, Jim Bakker’s Morningside Ministry in Blue Eye, Missouri and biblical world events.

Thank you for your prayers and patience!

From December 29th – 31st, MorningStar Ministries hosted the New Year 2016 Conference – Prepared for the Times.  This event was about joining the prophetic to the practical.  Guests at the conference included Worship leader Jason Upton and guest speaker (Ret.) Lt. Gen. Jerry Boykin.

Rick Joyner wrote concerning this conference,
“As crisis after crisis is now cascading down upon the world, it has never been more critical for us to know the times and be prepared for them. Our goal is for everyone who comes to not only have much greater clarity about both the times and their purpose in them, but to be emboldened to take the authority they have in Christ to push the darkness back.”
For more information about MorningStar Ministries check out their website at; www.morningstarministries.org.

On December 30th
, after ten long years, MorningStar Ministries officially re-opened the Heritage Grand Cafeteria.  During the New Year Conference, Rick & Julie Joyner along with staff members who are connected to the café’s restoration and operation held an official ribbon cutting ceremony.

In honor of Tammy Faye, Julie Joyner wore a sparkling blue jacket once owned by Tammy.  The Heritage Grand Café was the last project in the hotel that had not been refurbished since MorningStar purchased the property in 2004.

Biblical signs of the times:
We tell you this directly from the Lord: We who are still living when the Lord returns will not meet him ahead of those who have died.  For the Lord himself will come down from heaven with a commanding shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trumpet call of God.  First, the Christians who have died will rise from their graves.  Then, together with them, we who are still alive and remain on the earth will be caught up in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. Then we will be with the Lord forever. So encourage each other with these words.

During the month:  Amid a series of objections by residents on the grounds, Meritage Homes continues forward with their plans to build homes on the Regent Park Golf Course.

The Fort Mill Times reported: “Plan to build homes on Regent Park golf course clears first hurdle.” ~ By John Marks

FORT MILL TOWNSHIP
York County Council members voted to rezone the Regent Park golf course for housing, not because they liked it, but because they like the alternative less.

“This is a true damned if you do, damned if you don’t,” said Councilman Michael Johnson, who represents the Fort Mill area.

At its February 1st meeting the York County Council held a public hearing on the rezoning and passed the first of three required readings for the almost 27-acre site off of Regent Parkway.  Meritage Homes of Scottsdale, Ariz., wants to put 67 homes there. Council members said they don’t want more residences there, but current zoning allows for higher density than the current plan.

“Saying ‘no’ to this doesn’t make the problem better,” Johnson said.

On the 11th, Republican presidential candidate Senator Ted Cruz returned to Fort Mill and held a large rally in the Heritage Grand Hotel.  TV talk show host Glenn Beck accompanied Senator Cruz and there was an overflowing crowd in attendance.

Our local paper, The Herald, reported: “Sen. Ted Cruz rallies 2,000 plus conservatives, evangelicals in Fort Mill.” by Andrew Dys

FORT MILL – With just a week left to persuade evangelical South Carolina voters that he is the only Republican alternative to Donald Trump, Ted Cruz and conservative pundit Glenn Beck thrilled more than 2,000 of the faithful late Thursday at MorningStar Fellowship, a Fort Mill megachurch.

Cruz vowed to be the dam that would stop a liberal wave, saying he will fight for the sanctity of marriage, return the military to strength, and secure the borders against a tide of illegal immigration.

On the 14th, Presidential candidate Dr. Ben Carson visited MorningStar Ministries and gave his testimony at a special Sunday morning service.  His candor in revealing some of the lowest moments in his life which ultimately led him to faith in God were so riveting that the congregation gave him a standing ovation when he concluded his message.

The Herald reported: “Carson spends Sunday before S.C. primary in Fort Mill church.” by Bristow Marchant

Jeff Sochko Special to The Herald

FORT MILL – The seating configuration for Sunday’s church service was a little bit different, Pastor Rick Joyner noted for those visiting Morningstar Fellowship Church for the first time.

As Secret Service agents manned strategic points around the hall and checked worshipers coming through the doors, a rope separated the congregation from the area around the pulpit and from a VIP section nearby containing a special guest speaker.

“I want to give as much time as possible to Dr. Ben Carson,” Joyner told the church.

The presidential candidate made his second appearance in York County in four days at the church on Star Light Drive after he spoke at the religiously-themed Carolina Values Summit at Winthrop University on Thursday, and after appearing in the nationally televised Republican debate in Greenville on Saturday, one week before the South Carolina Republican primary.

Jim Bakker continued warning people of the times we are living in and offers products to get prepared for any emergency that may befall America.  He is also expanding Morningside to include a Prayer Mountain Chapel, an amphitheater, and a new TV Studio.   More homes are being built as well and a huge barn that has just been completed where the ministry stores emergency food.  All this is being done to insure a place of refuge for the end times.  Jim Bakker believes that every church in America should be a place of refuge and have a food pantry as well as basic essentials available for any type of emergency situation.

Check out all the areas of ministry Morningside is currently involved in at; www.jimbakkershow.com.

On the 25th, Jim Bakker posted the following on Morningside’s facebook page:

Make 2016 the Year of the Bible ~ By Jim Bakker

Remember when God told me it was time to batten down the hatches?

When He spoke to me, I was sitting in Lori’s closet; actually, it’s more like a woman cave. You’ve heard of a man cave, right? Well, Lori’s got this amazing closet filled with all her things and there’s a little desk where you can sit. I find that it’s a wonderful, quiet place for me to talk to God and listen to His word.

You know, the only times I hear from God are when I’m sleeping or when I’m off by myself. That is why I’m building the chapel up on Prayer Mountain. I want a place that will be open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week so people can go up there and pray. I want everyone to be able to hear God himself!

God wants to talk to all of us, but some people just don’t know how to listen. That’s why God uses the prophets, because some people out there still aren’t listening to Him. In the Bible, God spoke to fish and God spoke to donkeys. Don’t you think He is trying to speak to YOU, especially today?

As spring arrived on the grounds, so did heavy construction machinery that immediately began clearing land for a large apartment complex.  The Villas at Regal Manor will consist of six buildings affording a total of 180 apartments on the property that was once Heritage USA’s overflow parking lot which is located on the corner of Starlight Drive and Regent Parkway.  This project was delayed a few years ago, but now is rapidly moving ahead.  People are moving into the Fort Mill area in record numbers as of late and there is seemingly no end in sight!

Upper RoomOn the 12th, the Upper Room’s
facebook page had the following post by Russell James;
Extra……Extra….. Read all about it.

Here is the BIG NEWS and BIG ANNOUNCEMENT.

The $5,000.00 matching parking lot grant has been met and exceeded.

As of Friday March 11, 2016 the Upper Room Chapel has received $5,684.00. From start to finish it took just 95 days. Thank you so very much to all the people who gave, and to God who laid it on your heart to give.

We have spoken with the man God sent us to do all the paperwork for the county building permit. He will start this Monday working on it; it should take about two weeks. We have also spoken with the contractor who will do the work. He will begin as soon as possible after we get the permit from the county. When finished we will have a gravel parking lot that we can park about 80 additional cars; bringing our total to well over 100 spaces.

Will all who read this praise God for what He has done!

More information will be posted as available.

During the month, the Fort Mill Times featured an article written by Scott Cost in the Cost Analysis Column titled ‘That thing is still a sight for sore eyes’ which read:

“As I contemplated what to write about this week, it hits me square between the eyes – as I look up to the heavens and see a gigantic eyesore still lingering in front of me.  In what has become a rite of spring,  just like donating old clothes to Goodwill and cleaning out the garage, I feel compelled to once again wonder just how, “The old PTL Tower” continues to stand.

Ten years ago, the Tower was slated for destruction and yet through protracted legal challenges and continual delays by MorningStar, the Tower’s owner, the debacle remains.  If I have the events straight in my mind, MorningStar was originally going to renovate the Tower, but then hard economic times hit and they had to put it on hold.

I just want to know what the excuse is now.  The last time I looked, half of Fort Mill is being cleared for development.  Houses are popping up faster than kernels in scalding hot oil.  The economy has regenerated into a boom.

So, one would think people would be flocking to live in a renovated high-rise right?  Of course not.  The organization keeps filing motions against the county instead of improving things.

I’ve yet to hear a reasoned response to why the Tower stands.  I’ve heard that God put it there.  I’ve heard that it is going to be renovated.  I’ve heard that man doesn’t have the right to take down a structure of providence.

It’s sort of scary that there are people out there who think a growing pile of bricks is somehow the will of a higher power.  Actually, it’s sad, but not as sad as having to rehash this story because MorningStar has shirked its responsibility.  I’d be surprised, but this is an organization that hides behind tax-status and contributes next to nothing to Fort Mill.

Except for a huge debris field.”  Scott Cost

Part of their description for the conference is;
“You’re 50+.  The Father has more for you-whether you’re married or single, a man or a woman.  You didn’t miss your window of opportunity!  Others may say you should now sit on the sidelines; the Father is saying you are now prepared because of what you’ve been through.  He is calling you to your greatest mission, redefining what “mission” means.”

Guest speakers included John Boneck, Eugene Bach, Jorge Parrott and Dr. Nancy Daniel.

On MorningStar’s website, Dr. Nancy Daniel shares about “missions” in new and exciting ways.  She gives examples of “how the Father is using people like you and me to do great things in the Kingdom,” and calls forth multiplication in purpose for us. Let the Father speak to you about His desires for you. Be activated!”

Announcement:  Antioch International Church is opening a School of Ministry this fall.

CFM

The CFM School of Ministry will be focusing on equipping men and women for leadership in the Kingdom of God.

A student can expect to receive deep revelatory teaching that lays the foundation for solid Word of God theology.

The students will be trained to serve in ministry in both the practical and spiritual. Students of the CFM School of Ministry will participate in local missions as well as an International mission’s trip.

This is a one year program that contains the opportunity for credits towards a Bachelor’s degree if desired.

Jesus taught through Scripture and experiences as He actively served and showed His disciples how to minister.

Jesus provided us with an example of ‘Perfect Practice.’ Being a disciple of Christ means that we must learn from Him and model our life after Him. We must learn so that we can teach others.

Here at CFM our mandate is to Teach God’s Word, Train God’s People and Release God’s Favor. Don’t miss this great opportunity to engage the tools that God has given you to fulfill your calling. Classes begin Tuesday, September 6th, 2016.

On the 23rd, Antioch held its annual Purim Celebration Service that included a reading of the book of Esther by Pastor Peter Wyns taking turns with other members of the church.  Adding to the festive atmosphere some of the members dressed up like biblical characters and traditional Hebrew songs were sung throughout the service. Gifts were given to those in costumes and special treats for this holiday were prepared and served by Pastor Wyns’ wife Joy.

Purim is a Hebrew holiday that dates back to the 4th century BC when the Persian Empire, which consisted of 127 states, was under the authority of King Xerses.  It is a story of courage when Queen Esther, who was Jewish, learned of a plot to annihilate her people and bravely went before her husband King Xerses, unsummoned, meaning she could have lost her life by doing so.  Her thinking was, “If I perish, I perish.”

However, the king deeply loved Esther and granted her permission to speak even though it was against the law to approach him unsummoned.  As the Bible explains, Queen Esther was able to petition King Xerses to stop the plan that was devised by Haman, one of the highest ranking advisors in the King’s court.  His plan was foiled by the King and Haman was hung on the very gallows he had prepared for Queen Esther’s uncle Mordecai.  All the Jewish people in King Xerses’ empire celebrated when they heard the good news.

This will be an enlightening and important week.  We hope to see you there!

Special guests include Rabbi Jonathan Cahn, Lt. Gen. Jerry Boykin, James Rickards, Joel Richardson, Michael Snyder and Hubie Synn.

Tragic News: On Palm Sunday, March 20th, during Morningside’s regular church service, Pastor Rick Pinette passed away.  Jim Bakker posted the following on his ministries’ website:

Morningside Celebrates the Life of Pastor Rick Pinette

II Corinthians 1:3 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. God is the Father who is full of mercy and all comfort.

rickP

Our Dear Partners and Friends,

It is with deeply saddened hearts that we must inform you that our loving friend, Pastor Rick Pinette, member of the Jim Bakker Show Morningside Band and Pastor of Morningside Church, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, while leading the congregation in worship.  This is a loss that deeply hits home.

Our thoughts go out to his family, his wife Cheryl and daughter Olivia. Please keep them both in your prayers as they find their way through the grief from losing both husband and father.  Pastor Rick adored his family, and spoke of them as the greatest blessings God could possibly have given to him.

Recently, Rick Joyner wrote about the upcoming Presidential election in MorningStar’s Prophetic Bulletin #98,

Is Trump the One? ~ by Rick Joyner

“I hear from thousands of Christians each week, and sometimes that many in a day. I also hear from those from other faiths or no faith at all. They are diverse—from almost every denomination and nation. I don’t base the following on scientific polling, but it is a good sampling and may be even more accurate than the polls have been recently.

Most seem to think that Trump is either a messenger from the Messiah or from the antichrist, and few are in-between. Some Christians are shocked that other Christians would vote for Trump, yet polls indicate that more than half of evangelical Christians are voting for him. Why?

This is a valid question that reveals a lot about the state of the nation and also the church. The following seem to be the main reasons Christians have given for supporting Donald Trump rather than the other more vocal or devoted believers.

FACTOR #1: Many no longer trust politicians who claim to be Christians and/or conservatives. These seem to inevitably change when they get to Washington and fail to keep their promises.

FACTOR #2: There has been such a vacuum of courage in leadership that it is now esteemed above other virtues.

FACTOR #3: Fewer Christians are choosing a candidate based on the candidate’s faith. Rather they decide based on who they think will do the best job confronting the important issues of the time.

FACTOR #4: The two main issues in this election are security and the economy. Trump is seen as the strongest in both issues.

FACTOR #5: Trump’s lack of political correctness (PC) and willingness to say what he thinks has many believing he will resist political pressure and do what is right for the country, instead of for special interests.

FACTOR #6: Christians are increasingly disgusted with the Republican establishment and Trump is seen as the “wrecking ball” needed to pry the government out of the hands of the political elite.

FACTOR #7: They think that they have heard from God about Trump.

FACTOR #8: The extreme opposition to Trump from all of the bad guys proves he’s God’s choice.

There may be other factors, but these seem to be the primary ones. When we dig down on these, it is an even more stunning revelation of where the country is and potential changes in direction if these continue to grow.

The following are some of the main factors why Christians do not support Donald Trump’s nomination:

FACTOR #1: He is obviously not the kind of devout Christian they want to see as a leader, especially after Obama’s relentless assault on Christianity.

FACTOR #2: His behavior, demeanor, and language.

FACTOR #3: His seemingly immature overreaction to criticism and his tendency to try to bully opposition.

FACTOR #4: His ambiguous and/or tepid support for pro-life issues.

FACTOR #5: His lack of understanding of and/or support for Israel.

FACTOR #6: His ambiguous devotion to restoring the authority of the Constitution.

FACTOR #7: His seeming lack of understanding that a true conservative justice devoted to the Constitution, like Scalia, needs to be appointed to the Supreme Court—not someone like his liberal sister that he once inferred he would appoint.

FACTOR #8: Questionable business practices including several bankruptcies.”

Note:  Because of the overwhelming amount of homes that are being built in York County, especially in the Fort Mill area, the York County Council approved an ordinance that will preliminary freeze home building in the Fort Mill area for the last half of 2016.  This will give the council a chance to evaluate the proposed housing construction in York County.
Our local newspaper, The Herald, reported the following story on April 18th:

York County Council approves Fort Mill housing freeze
By Bristow Marchant

York -Homebuilders in the Fort Mill area may only have a couple more months to begin work before York County steps in to freeze growth for the last half of the year.

An ordinance that received preliminary approval on Monday would prohibit the county from considering any new residential rezonings in six separate zoning classifications in the Fort Mill area, or from accepting any new preliminary plats or site plans for single- or multi-family housing until the beginning of 2017.

The County Council approved the plan with a vote of 5-2, with Chairman Britt Blackwell and William “Bump” Roddey voting against.

The proposal would ban new housing construction in the Fort Mill area – between the Catawba River, North Carolina and Indian Land, excluding land inside the municipal limits of Fort Mill and Tega Cay.

During the month, after a preliminary housing freeze was approved for York County by the York County Council, it was reversed!

Our local paper, The Herald reported:

York County Council opposes Fort Mill housing freeze on 2nd vote
by ~ Jennifer Becknell
YORK
A divided York County Council on Monday voted down a proposal to freeze residential growth in the unincorporated Fort Mill area for the rest of the year by a narrow margin on a second vote.

The initial measure, approved by the council in April, would have banned the county from considering new residential rezonings in six separate zoning classifications in Fort Mill Township, or from accepting new preliminary plats or site plans for single- or multi-family housing until the beginning of 2017.

The council on Monday voted 4-3 against the housing freeze, with council Chairman Britt Blackwell and members Robert Winkler, Chad Williams and William “Bump” Roddey voting against it. The measure was approved 5-2 last month on an initial vote, with only Blackwell and Roddey voting against it.

The proposal would have banned new housing construction in the Fort Mill area – between the Catawba River, North Carolina and Indian Land, excluding land inside the municipal limits of Fort Mill and Tega Cay.

daystarOn the 1st, Marcus and Joni Lamb, founders of  Daystar Television Network, were guests of Rick Joyner at MorningStar Ministries.  As a young couple starting out in ministry in the 1980s, Marcus and Joni visited Heritage USA and became PTL Partners.  Their love for Heritage USA and the PTL Television Network inspired them so much so they decided to start a Christian network.

Since then, Daystar has grown into a worldwide TV network featuring Christian programming twenty-four hours a day – seven days a week.  Marcus commented how this nostalgic visit to Heritage brought back memories of when they started out and, against all odds, accomplished more than they ever dreamed.

During the month, the pristine Regent Park Golf Course which was recently sold to Meritage Homes is beginning to show signs of neglect.  Now, chains have been placed at the entrance to the closed clubhouse while the grass is left uncut.  Tall weeds are growing on the whole course and some of the fencing that enclosed parts of it has been removed.

Meritage Homes has named this project, ‘Saxon Place’ and is slated to start building homes on the golf course this year.  People whose homes border the golf course are understandably upset for a number of reasons, a few being the loss of value of their homes and the unsightly view they are now surrounded by.

Rick Joyner photograph with Donald Trump Thursday May 12th, 2016

On the 13th, Rick Joyner posted the following on his facebook page after meeting with Donald Trump, the Presidential candidate for the Republican Party:
“Because so many are asking, here are just a few insights from our meeting with Trump:

First, he was very personable, and hospitable, going out of his way to make everyone comfortable. It was a warm and friendly meeting, but serious too. In a unique way he made it clear that the meeting wasn’t just about him, but us, and all of our concerns for the country. We did not get together to discuss policies, but principles, and it was more of a get to know each other meeting.

He is very confident that he will win the election, though he knows he has some very hard work ahead, and very hard fights to go through. This was not arrogance. In fact, I never felt arrogance in him the whole time we were with him, but rather the opposite. You can’t do what he’s done in business without confidence, and boldness, and he has these for sure, but it doesn’t seem to be arrogance. One of the basic characteristics of humility is to be teachable, and he was not only open to new insights, but sought it. I felt that his confidence about the election was also healthy as he is already thinking about governing, and how to build a great team that can turn the country around.

We then met with Eric Trump in the boardroom for awhile. He is a very impressive young man. He’s not only very sharp, but carried the same kind of openness and desire to learn his father has. It was also impressive the way Eric sought to attach every policy to an underlying moral principle, and he even stated how important this was for them to do. To my surprise, at no time in any of these conversations did we talk about what was politically expedient, but rather what was right. I honestly was not expecting this, but I felt that it was very genuine.

I’m a little squeezed for time now, but I’ll be sharing more later.”

On the 16th, Rick Joyner added the following information about his first meeting with Donald Trump.

What is Trump really like? Many say he is a different person behind the scenes than he is campaigning. Here’s a NEWS FLASH: every public person will have a different demeanor for a crowd than when they’re talking to a few people behind the scenes. That’s not being double-minded, or necessarily an attempt to deceive anyone, but there is a different way that you communicate to and relate to a crowd than you do with a small group. Everyone who does public speaking knows this.

However, I did see something in our meeting I have never seen in him in public–he expressed some very real emotion when talking about the problem it would be for illegal immigrant families to go back to where they came from, and then come in legally. His remark was, “I really understand that, and we have to fix that.” The surprise to me came by the way he seemed to almost choke up with the emotion when talking about the problems this would cause those families. It was real.

I’m sharing these because of the biblical exhortation to “know those who labor among you.” I was surprised by how, in our meeting, he was very concerned that everyone was comfortable and had been taken care of well. I’m around VIP’s and famous people a lot, and I’ve been around presidents, and it’s rare to see such personal thoughtfulness like that. This is a very important character issue for one who could exercise power, and even sit in the most powerful position on earth.

After our meeting I read of an incident when all of the candidates were being called to take their place on stage before a debate. They were to go in order after they heard their names called, and Ben Carson did not hear his name, so several others went out ahead of him leaving Ben in an awkward position. Trump saw this, and when his name was called he just stood next to Carson so they could walk out together to help relieve Ben’s awkwardness. It was a small, but very thoughtful thing to do even when they were battling each other hard in the debates. I’ve heard and read other accounts like this about Trump.

Why is this important? Bottom line this job is about people. Trump may seem uncaring and even ruthless with some of the statements he makes, but he’s not. He is putting security and defending Americans first, but you can’t be as thoughtful of others as he demonstrates without really caring about people. True wisdom in leadership, even leadership in battles and wars, need to always be salted with the fact that our actions affect people.

graduation2016

dscn3467On the 4th, the 2016 MorningStar College of Theology graduation ceremonies were held in the Heritage Grand.

The Commencement ceremony began with a time of Praise & Worship followed by messages from Dr. Jorge Parrott, President of MorningStar College of Theology and Dr. Nancy Daniel, Dean of MorningStar College of Theology.  This ceremony included a presentation of Acknowledgments and Awards to several students.  Dr. Rick Joyner, head of MorningStar Ministries, gave the Commencement address.  Then each graduate was called up to receive his or her degree.

The degrees this year included Associate, Bachelor, Masters I, Masters II, Doctorate and PhD.  The class of 38 graduates came from as far away as Nigeria, Ecuador and Europe.

One of the students, Dr. Margaret Soremekun from Nigeria, aided in the release of kidnapped women by the terrorist group Boka Haram, oversees many churches and schools and also feeds homeless families in her region of Africa.

God Bless all the graduates as they go forward to serve the Lord, some in dangerous places throughout the world.  A few of the students will actually be in areas where ISIS is persecuting Christians.  Please keep these brave men and women in your prayers as they courageously face the enemies of the Gospel.

dscn3544The Upper Room:  As some of the churches on the grounds offer a Vacation Bible School for children each summer, the Upper Room hosted another Kingdom Kids Conference from the 20th – 24th.

For the third year Mary Greene, leader of the ‘A Call to Worship’ services, held a week long program for children from Kindergarten through Fifth Grade.  Along with other qualified leaders, the team taught the children who God really is as the King of kings, what worship is like in Heaven, what the Kingdom of God really is, how to hear God’s voice and how to become sons and daughters of the King.

They also learned to pray for people in need and to share their faith openly.  The conference concluded with a beautiful program for the families in which the kids presented a praise and worship service with flags flowing in worship, and it ended with each child praying for individuals that needed healing.  It was amazing to see how much a child can absorb after just one week of learning about the power of the Lord!

kingdomkids

These eager children also grew in the knowledge of the Lord as they learned about the power of the spoken Word as a sword, prayer, worship and sharing God’s love.  Each child was prayed for and then released to bring the Kingdom of God into their homes, schools, and neighborhoods.

God Bless Mary Greene and all the volunteers that sacrifice their time and talent to offer this fantastic children’s program at the Upper Room each year.

Robyn’s Corner

Humbled Morning ~ by Robyn Near

Mornings are not my strong suit. Getting my two children prepared for school and myself ready for work is tough when I am not fully awake.

This particular morning I couldn’t find the metal ball that goes in my shaker bottle to make a protein drink.  I couldn’t find it anywhere, and I had washed it the night before and set it out on the counter.  My ten-year-old daughter Sammy came into the kitchen and I asked her to help me find it while I finished getting her younger brother Zach ready.

Sammy, who is always a big help in the morning, of course said, “Yes.”  I had just gotten Zach’s clothes together when she came into his bedroom.  I expected her to tell me she found the metal ball.  Instead, she looked me straight in the eye and with a big smile said, “Mom, I can’t help you look for it anymore!”  She saw my puzzled look and continued, “God told me He wants you to listen to Him and obey Him. He told me to stop looking and for you to look. It’s like a test,” she said.

Hmmm!  I ran down some possibilities because I honestly thought at first she didn’t want to look anymore so she was trying to get out of finding it.  My second thought was Sammy wouldn’t make stuff up about God.  Thirdly, I wondered if she really heard from God.  Of course she could, who am I to think otherwise as ‘we are to be childlike’ echoed in my head.

So, I handed her Zach’s clothes and we traded jobs.  I was a little irritated because I had already looked and I did not have the time to be held up looking for this thing again.  I went back into the kitchen saying, “Okay, okay, where is it God?”  I looked around again still unable to find it.  My tension and frustration were mounting.  This is dumb I thought – I already looked!  What is the lesson in this anyway?”  I looked at the clock; this is going to take forever and I was running out of time, ughhh!

Then the Lord tugged on my heart and I said, “Fine!”  There in the middle of the kitchen I uncrossed my arms and put them at my side in surrender.  “God please, I need you.  Please help me find it.  Please help me obey you – help me to hear you.”  I felt my heart soften and I looked to the left and there on the counter was my shaker ball…just sitting there.  I’m not sure how I could have missed it other than divine intervention.

Joy welled up inside me.  How much God loves us!  There I was, a child having a temper-tantrum stomping around the kitchen full of doubt and anxiety.  It was clear to me that I could not find what I was looking for on my own, yet I still resisted asking my Heavenly Father for help.  In my pride God reached out for me and brought me to a place of surrender.  In that moment, He changed my heart and my perspective.  I could not find what I was looking for on my own, but with Him it was easy; I just had to turn towards Him. The whole time the shaker ball I needed was right where I was looking, but I couldn’t find it on my own. I needed the Lord God to give it to me.  And He did.

I am going to say it again, I needed the Lord to give me what I was looking for – And He did!

Like a child I came to Him with what I wanted.  He being a Good Father gave me what I needed. This shaker ball was so small, but I can see now God used that moment, that small need, to give me something bigger that I needed much more – Humility, Faith, and Perspective.

Praise God for His Faithfulness!

Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone?  Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent?  If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?
Matthew 7:9-11 KJV

Biblical signs of the times:
The enemy who planted the weeds among the wheat is the devil. The harvest is the end of the world, and the harvesters are the angels. “Just as the weeds are sorted out and burned in the fire, so it will be at the end of the world. The Son of Man will send his angels, and they will remove from his Kingdom everything that causes sin and all who do evil.  Matthew 13:39-41 NLT

Jesus replied, “I assure you, no one can enter the Kingdom of God without being born of water and the Spirit. Humans can reproduce only human life, but the Holy Spirit gives birth to spiritual life. So don’t be surprised when I say, ‘You must be born again.’  The wind blows wherever it wants. Just as you can hear the wind but can’t tell where it comes from or where it is going, so you can’t explain how people are born of the Spirit.”

On the 3rd, Antioch International Church held a special service celebrating America’s 240th birthday, which included honoring all the veterans and ordaining over twenty members of the church into the ministry. This was followed by a luncheon in the TV Studio. The inspiring 4th of July Celebration Service concluded with an outdoor water baptism officiated by Pastor Peter Wyns.

The below short video features veterans receiving a gift from Antioch, and Pastor Wyns delivering a heartening word filled with gratitude along with a strong prayer for God’s blessing on all those who served to keep America safe.

On the 26th, Rick Joyner posted the following in MorningStar’s Word of the Week;

Into All the World – The Book of Revelation ~ by Rick Joyner

This week we will cover the Lord’s charge to the church at Pergamos and His promise to those who overcome their trials.

“Repent, or else I will come to you quickly and will fight against them with the sword of My mouth.

“He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes I will give some of the hidden manna to eat. And I will give him a white stone, and on the stone a new name written which no one knows except him who receives it” (Revelation 2:16-17 NKJV).

The church before this one—the one under the most intense persecution—was not called to repent. It seems the persecution kept them pure, but Pergamos was warned that if they did not repent, the Lord Himself will fight against them! He would do it with the “sword of His mouth”—His Word— and He did with great voices of conviction and truth challenging the direction of those turning the church toward alignment with the Roman Empire. To this day, this has been an almost continual challenge, and often a trap that subdues God’s people.

Because of this almost continual challenge for the church, how should we be the prophetic voice to nations and governments—the light and salt we are called to be—without wrongly uniting with them in a way that compromises our calling as the bride of Christ? Many have succumbed to marrying these governments in a way that betrays our calling as a chaste virgin for the Lord.

Almost every prophet in Scripture had to speak to kings or governments. Many, such as Isaiah, had close personal relationships with them. Some, like Daniel and Joseph, not only spoke to kings, but worked for them at the highest levels, becoming administrators over the government. As we see with Joseph and Daniel, one key characteristic of this type of prophet was their devotion to living pure before the Lord, even risking their lives and suffering great persecution to remain pure and faithful. Few are able to handle this kind of closeness to power without being corrupted.

I have visited churches in dozens of countries, and most of them stay far from politics. For most of these, I think this is right for them because they are not in democracies with a right and responsibility to be part of government. In democracies, or republics, where the government exists for the people and is responsible to them, this is different. Our calling to be salt and light should cause us to engage in the important issues of our countries, not necessarily as the church but as Christians.

 The Beautiful Upper Room

The Beautiful Upper Room

Russell James, owner of the Upper Room Chapel, resides in Virginia with his wife and family.  Being a humble man who predominantly works behind the scenes, Russell calls no attention to himself while giving the Lord all the praise for bringing the Upper Room back to life.  Often, his even-tempered nature conceals his strong and determined commitment to the Lord’s call on his life.

In 2010, Russell stepped out in faith and purchased the Upper Room just a few weeks before it was to be torn down to make room for new homes.  Since then, he travels from Virginia to the Upper Room almost every week where a small staff of volunteers gives of their time helping him with every aspect of this expanding ministry.

As a teenager in the 1960s, Russell worked for the Christian Broadcasting Network (CBN) in Portsmouth, Virginia, which was owned by Rev. Pat Robertson.  At CBN, he began learning about TV production while on the set of Jim & Tammy Faye Bakker’s daily puppet show, JIM & TAMMY.

Over the following years, Russell learned the full-scope of TV production by working for several TV production companies, taking college courses and acquiring knowledge from “hands-on” experiences.  Ironically, in 1985, he gave his life to the Lord while watching Jim Bakker’s popular TV program, the PTL Club.  Salvation totally changed the direction of Russell’s life as the Lord led him to go on the mission field for the next several years.

In the mid nineties Russell went to work for The Broadcast Group, which is a production company owned by his long time friend Dr. Dale Hill.  Dr. Hill’s experience in broadcasting includes being the Executive Vice President in charge of TV Production for the PTL Satellite Network, and is credited for daily bringing Christian TV into the homes of millions of people during the peak of the PTL Club’s success.

Among Russell James’ many unsung accomplishments was in 2002 when he refurbished a TV Satellite truck once owned by Ted Turner in order for Pastor Jim Bakker to go back on television.  Through Russell’s help, Jim Bakker was able to return to television in January of 2003 for the first time since 1987 when he lost the PTL Satellite Network and there was little hope of him ever returning to TV again.

In July of this year, Russell was asked by Dr. Dale Hill to be Crew Manager for the huge undertaking of filming both the Democratic and Republican Conventions.  The Broadcast Group was contracted by Politico to film the conventions over a two-week period in Cleveland, Ohio and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania from July 16th to July 29th.

After returning home from this tremendous experience, Russell said that above all the tedious work that was involved with this project, he was gratified that The Broadcast Group was complimented for the ease and precision with which the crew tirelessly worked together and their overall pleasant demeanor which caused one observer to comment that he soon realized they were Christians.

God Bless Russell James, Dale Hill and all the unsung ‘behind the scenes’ personnel who have consistently been instrumental in bringing a variety of quality programming to the world.  The Broadcast Group’s motto is, ‘Capturing the event and delivering it to the world,’ and that is what they certainly do well!

On July 28th Russell wrote the following about his amazing road trip:

Day 13 of our 14 day road trip:

Tonight we wrap up the DNC portion of this 2 week event that has taken us over 2000 miles from Charlotte. Tomorrow we all head back to our homes; Charlotte, Cleveland, Detroit and Chesapeake. At some point, this 10 person crew became a team. They have all been a part of making history and truly “capturing the event and delivering it to the world.”  Senators, Congressmen, Governors and Lieutenant Governors, CEO’s of major corporations and founders of nonprofit foundations; all have been in front of our cameras.

The Broadcast Group has provided some of the best editors, graphic designers, technical director, systems engineer, camera operators and support team that could be found. It is with a great sense of pride that we were all a part of the Politico RNC/DNC event. The Broadcast Group team: Russell James – Crew Manager, Randy Hill – Technical Director, Lee Mowry – Video Systems Engineer / EIC, David Cavanaugh – Camera, Leonard Thompson – Camera, Robin Thompson – Camera, Jonathan Hill – Utility/PA and major backup, Graham (Trey) McPhaul – ProPresenter graphics, Jason Howard – Editor #1, and Richard Dolesh – Editor #2.

Below are pictures of Russell James and some of The Broadcast Group’s crew in the Politico studio at the Republican National Convention held in the Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland, Ohio from July 18th – 21st.

MorningStar Ministries:

dscn3715On Sunday the 7th, MorningStar Ministries reopened after its July sabbatical.  During the month of July, Rick Joyner encourages members of his congregation to visit other churches, go on a mission trip if possible and seek the Lord’s direction for their lives.

During the past year, MorningStar’s Missions Department (CMM) has ventured out on several mission trips.  In the below article, Dr. Nancy Daniel, Dean of MSU College of Theology, describes how the Lord brought together a small team that journeyed to Taiwan.  God Bless these brave men and women who take the Gospel to the ends of the earth.

MSU Graduates Sent to the Harvest

By Nancy G Daniel, Dean of MorningStar College of Theology

When my daughter was five she asked me, “Mommy, did you ever get so filled with God you had to tell someone about Him?”

At the time I did not totally understand what she was asking me. Now I understand that each of us have our own expression when we are overcome and filled by the Spirit of God. I am seeing this in our classes and I am compelled to share what is happening. Our students are getting so filled that they just want to pour out. We are calling it Fast Track. This is because we have seen the need for the persecuted and unchurched people groups for fast, intentional, and directed workshop type courses. This is created to train leaders who may not be alive next year. These leaders need more equipping and training so that they might infiltrate their nation for the glory of God. This is not a program. We have great material but it is not about the material, it is about the people and their needs and directed by the Sprit of God.

taiwan A team of eight just came back from Taiwan where we conducted four conferences in ten days. I was there to make connection on behalf of MSU and MSU Theology School as well as to see our newly developed Fast Track team launch deeper into their destiny. Currently, the Fast Track is made up of a mature group of graduates from MSU Theology School. They are also pastors who have traveled into several nations on their own with awesome testimonies to share. What made this different was that during the last school year, as we said above, Holy Spirit filled them up and created such a hunger to pour out that if they did not go, the rocks would have cried out.

CMM’s founder Sidney Correll would say, “The world is our parish.” This team of pastors understands on a deep level what this means, and they were able to flow beautifully together to make the world their parish. No matter the size of the meeting it became a local church and God moved mightily.

We split into two teams to cover more territory. Everywhere each team went ministry leaders would comment how powerful it was that we were able to flawlessly work together.  At the last place we visited, they said we released unity into their church. Holy Spirit amazed all of us.

I love teamwork. I have raised my family with this in mind, and many who have been through my previous ministry still call each other a team.

Jorge Parrott, CM Missions director who led the trip, requested that we minister as a team. I so wanted to learn how to work the way he was seeing it. I am not sure we accomplished all he had envisioned. However, what happened was a beautiful picture of Holy Spirit when individuals are willing.

Our team only had three people in it. I believe that each of the individuals could hold their own crusades and it would be powerful. But as a team, we listened to Holy Spirit and watched to see who was to speak and in what order. This is not a place for insecurities or ego. In the end God did it all, and we had the opportunity to participate with Him.

Each place we traveled, we broke open wells and then moved on.

Jorge had powerful prophetic words that opened locked doors of the heart. If you listened with your flesh, you would have missed it. He had powerful words of the Spirit. It is easy to see why God sends him around the world.

During the month, Pastor Jim Bakker emphasized how the Last Days are upon us. He continues preaching about the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse being out of the barn and riding as he continually warns people it is time to prepare spiritually, emotionally and physically for what is about to come upon the earth.

In the below short video Jim Bakker talks about the last days.

Pastor Jim wrote the following about this Revival Conference:

“We need to make God important in our lives and hearts again! Rev. Billy Graham has said, ”We need another great awakening, a fresh revival that puts us on our knees, brings us to repentance for our sins, and turns our hearts back again to worship and obey God.” Every guest who we welcome on The Jim Bakker Show speaks of this restoration and reviving the closeness and love of Jesus in our hearts and spirit. We need God back in our churches, our communities, and in our country!”

One of the shows Jim Bakker added to his network is THE WATCH featuring Michael Snyder, who is best known for his work as publisher of The Economic Collapse Blog.  Michael is also the author of The Beginning of the End and Get Prepared Now!Why a Great Crisis Is Coming & How you Can Survive It.  After graduating law school, Michael Snyder worked as an attorney in the heart of Washington D.C. before going full-time into ministry.

THE WATCH is described as a half hour program that airs on the PTL Television Network Wednesday and Friday at 7 p.m. CT.  This show is packed with news, information and teaching with a special focus on Bible prophecy. Just as millions of readers have discovered on The Economic Collapse Blog, Michael Snyder has a unique ability to dig up and report stories that are of absolutely critical importance to believers today.

Michael is joined by his wife Meranda, and the things that they will be sharing will shock the Christian world. Without a doubt, this is a half hour that is unlike anything that you have ever seen on Christian television before. Jesus Christ is coming back very soon, and Michael & Meranda are bringing a message of warning and a message of hope to a world that desperately needs it.

dscn3878On Friday night the 2nd, MorningStar Ministries hosted Lou Engle, head of The Call ministry located in Pasadena, California, as he launched Azusa EastThe Call’s vision for the east coast is to become part of a new hope for a Third Great Awakening.  There is no set date when this event will happen, but Lou Engle believes it will take place at Panther Stadium in Charlotte, N.C.

azusa

In a recent newsletter, Lou Engle wrote in part;
“After seeking the Lord for the answer, we feel our nation has entered a divine fullness, a time entrusted to intercessors, pastors and leaders to fan the fire in their own churches.  We also believe The Call has a role to play, to continue in the grace we have been given to summon tens of thousands “in one place and one accord” for fresh encounters with Jesus. Can we believe together—unite together—across ethnic and denominational lines, until radical spiritual awakening fully manifests in our nation? What if that means stadium after stadium, city after city? How much do we want God in our land again?

After decades of prayer by millions of Christians, the Lord is answering our collective cry for revival. We dare to believe that a new Jesus Movement is upon us!  So let us maintain a relentless posture of prayer, yes, but let us also transition to bold faith and bolder action. Our vision of God must be expansive, not myopic. What if the next great move of Heaven is already unfolding right before our eyes?  So, what’s next?”

From the 22nd – 24th, MorningStar Ministries held their three day “Harvest Fest 2016” conference.  This gathering always brings together hundreds of Christians from around the world for a time of worship and enlightenment.

This year’s theme, “Bringing Heaven to Earth” featured special guests including Lou Engle, Sid Roth, Paul Keith Davis and Barry Segal.

  • Main Street Vendors
  • Julie Joyner’s Shoebox Ministry for Samaritan’s Purse
  • 2016 Harvest Fest
  • Barry Segal
  • Main Street Vendors
  • Children’s Conference
  • Reopened Heritage Grand Cafe

With these special guests who represented several ministries coupled with powerful worship music along with more than twenty vendors displaying a wide variety of impressive merchandise plus delicious meals served in the newly reopened Heritage Grand Café, a unique experience was available to anyone who wanted to attend.

It is difficult to bring together so many ministries, all having a unique message for the Body of Christ, but their unity was displayed in an overwhelming outcry for another Great Awakening in America.  Because of all the uncertainty this country faces there is a growing determination among many church and ministry leaders to see revival break out in America.

Special guest Lou Engle (below) once again came to MorningStar and spoke on behalf of the Azusa East movement, which is a call he believes he has on his life to hold a great revival and fill Panther Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina as well as other arenas throughout the country.

Barry Segal, founder of Vision for Israel, spoke of his ministry’s recent involvement in helping displaced Syrian children who are living in Israel.  Syria’s war torn country is suffering greatly because of the horrors this war has caused.  Vision for Israel cares for these displaced children by trying to give them some stability to diminish the traumas their young lives have endured.  Barry Segal’s ministry has provided love, food, necessities and help in getting these children back in school.

Recently, Vision for Israel purchased a new ambulance to help the Israelis, and Barry Segal put it on display outside the Heritage Grand Hotel for conference goers to understand more clearly that bloodshed from their enemies’ attacks are still a part of Israel’s daily life.

New ambulance Barry Segal is presenting to the people of Israel by Vision for Israel parked outside of MorningStar Ministries.

Robyn’s Corner

Change the Atmosphere ~ by Robyn Near

I was at the gym the other day on my lunch hour doing my usual run on the treadmill.  Looking around, I saw an older gentleman who was using a cane and had a brace on his right leg and a sling on his right arm. He shook slightly as he took slow steps, making his way up the pathway between the treadmills to the workout equipment.

I didn’t know what had happened to him, but I figured he must be doing some kind of rehabilitation or physical therapy. He met up with an older woman, who I assumed was his wife, at the leg press where I watched him start to exercise.

As he slowly pushed the plate out, I welled up with joy for his endurance, for his strength and for his courage to even try.  I began praying fervently for him to experience a complete healing and be stronger than he was before.  It was then that I realized I was praying out loud as the Lord put a burning on my heart to pray for him personally.

That is when my flesh stepped in with all the predictable lies – “I am in a public gym… I could easily get myself or him kicked out… He is a gentleman and I should probably ask the woman he is with so not to offend anyone…  What if he got offended by me asking to pray for him?”  As all these fears swirled around in my mind, the man started walking toward the locker room. I missed my chance, I thought!

Disappointment and a bit of relief overcame me when God blew me away with a revelation.  Sickness and pain are not from God. God puts things on our hearts to pray about. He alone does it. So it makes sense that He wants and, of course, can heal this man. So let’s suppose God shows the man that if Robyn prays for your healing you would have been healed, but she was worried that you would be offended so she didn’t. God asked me, “Which would the man be more offended by; you praying for him or him miss his healing because you were afraid to offend him? Do you think he would be angry when he was healed?”

“Oh Wow God, I hadn’t thought of it that way.”  I hadn’t thought about the outcome, just the stepping out.  What a lesson God had taught me. My lunch was almost over.  I was trying to plan if I could wait around for him to come out or if we would come out of the locker rooms at the same time.  I didn’t have the time to wait. I was wiping off the machine and throwing away the paper towels when I turned around only to see the man emerge from the locker room!

My heart started racing as I thought, “How good you are God!” I walked toward him assessing the situation. I looked at him to see if he would smile or acknowledge me, all to no avail.  Our paths crossed and then we both kept going.  My heart sank.  God had just talked to me and then set it up.  How could I possibly walk away?!

Heart thumping, I turned around and approached him.

“Sir, Excuse me Sir.”
“Yeah, what?”  He said gruffly.
“My name is Robyn.” I said gently.
He softened a bit and almost smiled saying, “Hello there nice to meet you.”
I asked, “What’s your name?”
“Pat, my name is Pat.”
He stumbled over his words, having a hard time getting them out.  My heart was just melting for this man. The love God has for him overwhelmed me.

“Hi Pat,” I said smiling. “I was wondering, Can I?  Would it be alright if I prayed for you? I don’t have to do it right here if you’re not comfortable.”  He seemed a bit confused by my request but nodded slowly and said, “Sure.”

I asked him, “What happened?”

“I had a str… a str…”  He tried several times to get the word out but couldn’t, so, I finished it for him. “A stroke, you had a stroke?”  I was burning up from what the enemy had stolen from him. I sensed that he was an independent man – a real man’s man, the kind my grandpa was.

I pushed through my emotions and asked again. “Can I pray for you? Right now, Right here?”  This time he said with a big smile, “Yes, I’d appreciate that.”
My heart started pounding again as I prayed for him. I remember thinking that it’s a bit awkward to be praying for him in the middle of the pathway.  I wonder if he felt as awkward as I did.

God spoke to me again. “Why do you feel awkward? Because of all the people and how this must look strange to them?”
“Yes Lord.”
“Who are you doing this for – for them?”
“No Lord, I’m doing it for you because you want to heal this man.”

I heard the Lord say, “I do not find this awkward. This is beautiful to me.  This is how it should be.”

So, I prayed for a complete healing for the man. The last words out of my mouth were, “I pray for a revival in his heart in Jesus’ name, Amen.”  I smiled, thanked him and we parted ways. There was no miraculous healing that I could see with my natural eyes… I didn’t have some feeling of an amazing move of the Holy Spirit, but God had clearly set that up. I believe with all my heart that Pat is and will be completely healed. I had to ask God though. “God, why did you have me do that like that?  Why did I pray for revival in his heart?”

A glorious flow of love surrounded me as God spoke to my heart, “I am much more concerned about his inwards being broken than his body. What do you suppose that did for him, for his heart, for his faith, for his hope to have you approach him like that?  What do you think it did for the man on the treadmill next to you who heard your conversation and prayers for a complete stranger?  How about for the people around you who saw it take place?  What did it do for you?”

All of this rushed over me. God and His amazing multi-faceted purposes and love just washed me inside and out. How beautiful!

It is odd to see strangers praying for one another in a public place, but it shouldn’t be. We should love one another.  The act of stepping out of your comfort zone to love a stranger should be normal, not necessarily comfortable because the call of God isn’t always convenient. We shouldn’t be waiting for mission trips and crusades to pray for others in public.  Every day we have an opportunity to partner with Jesus and change the atmosphere; to bring the Kingdom of God to lost and hurting people.

Don’t shrink back in fear or allow your flesh to talk you out of it.  Pray and listen to God, then move in love. If He is for me who can be against me? The Lord doesn’t give us a spirit of fear but of love, power and a sound mind.

Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong. And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is. May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God.  Ephesians 3:17-19

Pastor Jim wrote a strongly worded newsletter to the church that read in part:

“…Recently, I preached during our Sunday Service, about many discouraging and frightening events that continue to happen all over the world.  The Lord wanted me to preach a message that God has given about the church being in a constant struggle to remain faithful.  The Spirit of Leviathan has permeated into our lives, our communities and our sanctuaries.

This Spirit brings despair and a fear of feeling overwhelmed, chaos, hopelessness and so many more destructive emotions.  I could on for hours as to the evil nature that is being poured out against us.  But I feel the #1 thing that the Spirit of Leviathan can do is keep you from your God-given goals.  Leviathan will work within people you care about (friends, work mates, and yes, even in your family) to stop you from doing what you know in your heart is the work God has given you to do.  Most don’t even know they are allowing this spirit into their hearts.  We MUST defeat this twisted Serpent.

To do that we must come together and war against this evil spirit.  We do not need guns in this war.  Our weapons are spiritual.  2 Timothy 4:7, ‘I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:  henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge shall give me at that day:  and not only to me, but all of them that love His appearing.’

The Holy Spirit is stronger than ANYTHING!  We must agree in the power of standing together because of house divided cannot stand!

Blessed are the what?  The Peacemakers.  Not trouble makers who blow up about little things.  America is about to go into the greatest abyss its ever seen.  We must put on God’s full armor, fill our hearts with the Holy Spirit and get back up, because the church of Jesus Christ can overcome anything!  1 John 4:4 says, ‘Greater is He that is in us than he that is in the world.’  Let us pray together, with faith that God WILL destroy the Leviathan spirit in our lives!…

~A look back ~

It has been fifteen years since the terrorist attacks on America and our entrance into the War on Terror which has lasted all these many years.

During the week of September 11th of this year, video footage of the 2001 attacks aired on all the major news networks. There were memorial services held around the country to honor those who lost their lives on that fateful day reminding Americans how catastrophic these attacks were and why we should NEVER FORGET.

The following is a Fox News 18 minute video showing the strikes on the Twin Towers in New York City on September 11th, 2001 as they happened:

Note: In January 2012, Rabbi Jonathan Cahn, author of best-seller THE HARBINGER, was a guest on the 700 Club soon after this book was released. Rabbi Cahn explained to host Pat Robertson what he believes is the ‘spiritual’ meaning behind the attacks on the Twin Towers. The following is a short video from their meeting.

Biblical signs of the times:
Then I saw heaven opened, and a white horse was standing there. Its rider was named Faithful and True, for he judges fairly and wages a righteous war. His eyes were like flames of fire, and on his head were many crowns. A name was written on him that no one understood except himself. He wore a robe dipped in blood, and his title was the Word of God. The armies of heaven, dressed in the finest of pure white linen, followed him on white horses.  Revelation 19:11-15

At the end of August, the Wall Street Journal reported: “An internet giveaway to the U.N.”  When the Obama administration announced its plan to give up U.S. protection of the internet, it promised the United Nations would never take control.  But because of the administration’s naiveté or arrogance, U.N. control is the likely result if the U.S. gives up internet stewardship as planned at midnight on Sept. 30.

Jesus asked, “Do you finally believe? But the time is coming—indeed it’s here now—when you will be scattered, each one going his own way, leaving me alone. Yet I am not alone because the Father is with me. I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.” John 16:31-33 NLT

On the night of the 5th, MorningStar Ministries became a literal ‘City of Refuge’ for some 365 elderly evacuees from the Cypress Independent Living Facility on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. This happened as Hurricane Matthew, with winds clocked at over 150 miles per hour, headed toward the southern coast of Florida and was forecast to move up the east coast.
Dave Yarnes, Executive Vice President of MorningStar Ministries oversaw this outreach that also included transporting the Cypress medical staff and assistants to the hotel.

This fierce storm affected millions of people living along the coastline from southern Florida to the Carolinas. The Weather Channel reported, “Hurricane Matthew, in its march along the Florida coast on Friday the 7th, is causing widespread flooding, damage and power outages across the state.”

To research the magnitude and destruction from this monster storm, check out all the reports on the Weather Channel’s website at: https://weather.com/

On the 7th, our local paper The Herald reported:
“Hurricane Matthew: Retirees on run find refuge in Fort Mill” ~ By John Marks (jmarks@fortmilltimes.com)

“A natural disaster narrowed in on his home and most all he holds dear, and all Pat Gilmore could do was watch it on the big screen.

He was thankful, at least, to have found something eight hours inland he wouldn’t enjoy back in Hilton Head — calm.

“I’m going to take it step by step,” Gilmore said Friday afternoon, intent on Hurricane Matthew coverage spread across three large projection screens at the Heritage International Ministries Hotel and Conference Center in Fort Mill.

“I don’t think anybody has tomorrow’s newspaper, so we’ll see. I won’t get upset until I know there’s a reason to get upset, and then maybe I will.”

The Cypress of Hilton Head has five apartment complexes and about 40 homes. Retirees, ranging from active homeowners to nearly bedridden, had to evacuate ahead of Matthew and manager James Coleman eyed Charlotte, which has a sister property. Coleman found the former PTL site made famous – and eventually infamous – by Jim and Tammy Faye Bakker that is now part of Morningstar Fellowship Church.”

Biblical signs of the times:
For there will be greater anguish than at any time since the world began. And it will never be so great again. In fact, unless that time of calamity is shortened, not a single person will survive. But it will be shortened for the sake of God’s chosen ones.

Jim Bakker’s Morningside Ministries, Blue Eye, Missouri

On the 1st, Charisma Magazine featured a story about Jim Bakker in their November issue titled,Back From the Brink – Jim Bakker’s recovery as a prophetic sentinel for the end-times church should inspire us all that God is bigger than our mistakes.”

Below is a portion from the article written by Steve Strang, founder of Charisma Magazine and CEO of Charisma Media:

“An End-Times Comeback

When Jim had me as a guest on his program, I found myself making this point- how much this reminds me of what he built in Charlotte. I told him that, in my opinion, no one had ever lost more or fallen further than he had nor had anyone bounced back as he had in only a few years. The program was taped live, and I hadn’t checked ahead of time to see, in the context of his ministry, if saying that was ‘politically correct.’ At my age, I didn’t care, and I knew they would edit out my comments.

Even if they had edited it out, I could say that here because I believe it and because it’s truth. Except for Charles Colson, who was in the Nixon White House and went to prison before founding Prison Fellowship, I can’t think of anyone else who even comes close. Even with Colson, he wasn’t saved when he ‘fell,’ and when Huckabee told me, ‘After a rough and rocky period in his (Jim’s) life in which he lost his ministry, his wife, his dignity and even his freedom when he was sentenced to prison, he has remained faithful to God and is being used in what might be his most effective days of ministry. I love Jim because he is a living reminder that God never gives up on us, and Jim never gave up on God. I count him a friend and appreciate the living proof in his life that Jesus never fails.’

I couldn’t have said it better myself. Having watched Jim rise and fall – and rise again like a Phoenix from the flames – I can only marvel at the goodness and mercy of God. Bakker’s comeback – and makeover as a prophetic sentinel for the end-times church should inspire us all that no matter what you go through and no matter what mistakes you make, your destiny in Christ is still secure when you turn to Him with all your heart.”

On the 3rd, Jim Bakker posted the following video (audio only) concerning the elections. He publicly supported Donald Trump and had numerous ministries, prophets, and men of God on his daily program during the election season to promote people to vote.

On the 8th, the Jim Bakker Show posted the following Youtube video by Rabbi Cahn who spoke of America’s need to change the direction its heading.

On November 8th, Candidate Donald Trump became the 45th President of the United States. Jim Bakker ‘live streamed’ the entire election results on the PTL Satellite Network.

Below is a short video from the Jim Bakker Show in the moments before Donald Trump won the 2016 Presidential Election.

New Year’s Eve Candlelight Service at Upper Room

On Saturday the 3rd Russell James, owner of the Upper Room Chapel, hosted the sixth-anniversary celebration of the building’s miraculous reopening in 2010. This was another incredible year where thousands of people were ministered to through ‘live streaming’ every service.  Reports of numerous healings, deliverances and salvations were reported throughout the year.

All the services and events are ‘live streamed’ on the Upper Room’s website at; www.upperroomchapel.com.

It is now also possible to watch previous services in the ‘Video on Demand’ section of the Upper Room’s website at; www.upperroomchapel.com.

Live-streaming from a TV camera inside the chapel daily sends the Gospel around the world and only the Lord knows how many souls were brought into the Kingdom of God through the talent and dedication of all those who serve there.

Russell gave his annual report on the progress made during the year and his plans for the future, which include expanding the Parking Lot that has met with some delays, but now is in the final stages of completion. It was reported that the Upper Room ended the year with a surplus of $43,000 with only $1300 in current bills. He also announced that outside music has been installed at the Upper Room that plays 24 hours-a-day.  Soft, enjoyable Christian music can be heard walking around the outside of the building, which creates a pleasant atmosphere for prayer and meditation.

It was an all around good report with an added surprise of an actual “Reserved Parking” sign Russell had made for Pastor Jim Bakker whenever he visits.

Russell also announced the Upper Room would be open for the annual New Year’s Eve Candlelight Communion Service starting at 11:30 p.m. ALL WERE WELCOMED.
This service can be seen on the Upper Room Chapel’s facebook page at; https://www.facebook.com/groups/62147692320/ as well as clicking on the following link: http://www.christianworldmedia.com/_archiveapp/g1/vidplayer.asp?aid=110446 .

This year Russell’s special guest at the celebration was James Daryl Chesser, the young man who was the Floor Manager for the PTL Show and was often seen working on the set.  As Russell interviewed Daryl, he spoke about the years he enjoyed working for Jim & Tammy Faye, and how grateful he is for the “hands-on” schooling in TV production he received at PTL, which has led him into a full-time media ministry.

Daryl is now reaching people on-line at C Life Ministries with his mother and sister at; http://www.clifeministries.org/.
Also, check out Daryl’s facebook page at; https://www.facebook.com/DarylChesser.

Afterward, as is his custom, Russell served every guest refreshments in the downstairs reception room.

The Upper Room Chapel is open for prayer from 7 a.m.to 9 a.m. Monday thru Friday followed by a Praise & Worship service from 9 a.m. until noon conducted by Alan McCain.

On the weekends, the Prayer Team is there to pray with or for you on Saturdays from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Sundays from 1 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

On Sundays, there is an 11 a.m. church service conducted by Bishop Ron Lambright of Freedom Christian Center in Fort Mill, S.C. Pastor Randy Hill of the Restoration House Worship Center conducts a service at 6:30 p.m. ALL ARE WELCOME.

A Call to Worship services are led by Mary Green meeting at 7 p.m. on the second and fourth Saturday of each month. These services are some of the most anointed meetings on the grounds! ~A look back~
The Classic video from the 1986 New Years Eve Celebration in the Barn Auditorium at Heritage USA which was the last New Year’s celebration that Jim & Tammy Faye were at Heritage USA as the leaders of the PTL Ministry. Biblical signs of the times:

Then his disciples said, “At last you are speaking plainly and not figuratively. Now we understand that you know everything, and there’s no need to question you. From this we believe that you came from God.” Jesus asked, “Do you finally believe? But the time is coming—indeed it’s here now—when you will be scattered, each one going his own way, leaving me alone. Yet I am not alone because the Father is with me. I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.”
