This is my commandment: Love each other in the same way I have loved you. There is no greater love than to lay down one’s life for one’s friends. John 15:12-13 NLT

Keeping Hope Alive Missions
During the past few months, missionary friends of MorningStar Ministries found themselves in an extremely dangerous situation in the civil war in South Sudan. Freddie Power, President of Keeping Hope Alive missions based in Fort Mill, S.C. reported on Monday, December 30th that she wants the government to allow the missionaries Brad and Kim Campbell to bring ten orphan children to America temporarily, and the family could stay at her home in Fort Mill until the fighting calms. Power said the Campbell family wants to raise the children in South Sudan. MorningStar Ministries is asking for prayer for everyone ensnared in this crisis. Learn more about Keeping Hope Alive at: www.keepinghopealivemissions.com.
Below is the CN2News video about the trapped family in S. Sudan
On the 1st, the Fort Mill Times reported the story as follows: Former area family in South Sudan faces choice: Escape or stay with orphans. The eyes of the American parents living at a United Nations camp alongside thousands of South Sudanese refugees fill with tears as they describe their options: Remain and risk another rebel assault, or fly to safety, leaving behind the 10 orphans who call the couple Mom and Dad.

As of today, there is no news on the situation except that the American parents are staying in Kenya so they can care for the orphans when the conflict stabilizes.

New seating arrangement at MorningStar Church
On Sunday the 5th, at the first church service of 2014, Rick Joyner announced that MorningStar is changing the format of their services. One of the major changes is from now on tables and chairs will be set up on Sunday mornings in the lobby of the hotel affording the congregation a better way to get to know one another. He said, “Some people have been coming to this church for years and don’t know anyone here because they are staring at the back of their heads!” He also wants the members to become more of a community by introducing themselves to each other and eventually praying with and for one another.
His main goal is to see the church united in love, ministering words of wisdom, being an encouragement to anyone discouraged, offering prophetic words and praying for those in need of healing. Rick Joyner believes moving beyond one’s comfort zone is necessary for personal growth and being well-equipped to reach out to more people with the Gospel.
Whether it is a first time visitor or a member of long-standing, Rick Joyner wants to give the Lord more opportunity to move by His spirit among the people. Once again, he expressed MorningStar’s desire for Jesus’ love and power to become more visible.
During the month on the Jim Bakker Show, Pastor Jim reminded his viewers of the words the Lord gave to him for 2014. One of the prophetic words was, “More Biblical prophesies will be fulfilled this year than ever before.”
Another word the Lord gave him in “triplicate” was, “COLD, COLD, COLD!” When he shared this word on his TV program September 4th 2013, the nation was experiencing a record breaking heat wave! So far, January of 2014 is proving to be one of the coldest months ever experienced in America.
Morningside Ministries located in Blue Eye, Missouri, is going to keep track of each fulfilled biblical prophecy as it happens. Additionally, Morningside added a new feature to their website called BREAKING PROPHETIC WORD. From his office, Pastor Jim now hosts a regularly updated Internet program on current events and explains how each event relates to Bible prophecy.
To view these updates, go to Morningside’s website at: www.jimbakkershow.com and click on, Welcome – BREAKING PROPHETIC WORD.
Even though the Gift of Prophecy has been misused by some, Jim Bakker believes it should not be eliminated from the church. Compared to the early church when Spiritual Gifts were used mightily, they have been misused to the degree that they have been tossed out of the vocabulary of most of today’s churches.
Among the Gifts of the Spirit are words of Knowledge, Wisdom and Prophecy. The Bible says in 1st Corinthians 12 vs. 7-11:
A spiritual gift is given to each of us so we can help each other. To one person the Spirit gives the ability to give wise advice; to another the same Spirit gives a message of special knowledge. The same Spirit gives great faith to another, and to someone else the one Spirit gives the gift of healing. He gives one person the power to perform miracles, and another the ability to prophesy. He gives someone else the ability to discern whether a message is from the Spirit of God or from another spirit. Still another person is given the ability to speak in unknown languages, while another is given the ability to interpret what is being said. It is the one and only Spirit who distributes all these gifts. He alone decides which gift each person should have.
Pastor Jim has been prophesying biblical events since 1999 with amazing accuracy. The sure way to know if someone has a prophetic gift is to watch and see if their prophecy comes to pass.
BELOW IS A “MUST SEE VIDEO” from the Jim Bakker Show illustrating how important prophetic words are, and why this gift needs to operate in the church, especially in these uncertain times.
New Year’s Church Services at MorningStar Ministries, the Upper Room and every church on the grounds that held a New Year’s Eve service offered an uplifting, prayerful time to enter 2014. Like a fine diamond with many brilliant facets, so is the brilliance of each church facet on the grounds. However, because they are all separated from each other, each facet gives off only a partial light.
If and when God’s people work through their differences and break down the hardened barriers of separation and pride, the overwhelming power and brilliance of unity will penetrate the darkest places on these hallowed grounds. The ‘open secret’ and ‘key’ to a revival is found in Scripture. The real church is not made of ‘brick and mortar’ but of ‘living stones’ i.e. people. Because we are scattered and often disagree with each other, we hold back revival. The ease with which the enemy can neutralize God’s people and keep them from becoming the most powerfully equipped army in these last days is disturbing.
With the Lord’s return at hand coupled with the alarmingly dangerous condition the world is presently in, we should do what God asks of us. It is in the hands and hearts of the church to decisively act on this promise from the Lord, and if we do, then and only then will we experience a Great Awakening.
Then if MY people who are called by MY name will humble themselves and pray and seek MY face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land.
2 Chronicles 7:14 (NLT)

The Towers
The Towers: On the 26th, our local newspaper The Herald reported:
Dispute over unfinished Fort Mill tower ongoing ~ By Jenny Zou
A lawsuit faulting York County in a botched agreement over an unfinished tower in Fort Mill is proceeding and in the early stages of discovery, according to court documents.
MorningStar Fellowship Church, a Mississippi-based non-profit, sued the county last January after a development agreement between the two groups went sour in 2010, leaving an unfinished tower in the middle of a 52-acre complex that once belonged to televangelists Jim And Tammy Faye Bakker.
While the church hasn’t specified damages in the suit, the tower at the center of the failed agreement is currently valued at $10 million by church officials, according to the county’s latest fiscal audit, which included information regarding current litigation.

During the first week of January, after suffering from an incurable illness for a number of years, Norman Bakker of Charlotte, N.C. passed away at 80 years of age.

Norman J. Bakker
September 24, 1933-January 4, 2014
Norman and his wife Dorothy were a vital part of the PTL Ministry all during Heritage USA’s glory days. Norman faithfully worked as a personal greeter on the daily telecast of the PTL Program while Dorothy worked diligently behind the scenes. With his gentle, unassuming nature Norman enjoyed making sure that the guests at Heritage USA felt welcomed. He soon became a familiar face to countless visitors and viewers alike. Whether he was greeting people, leading the audience in applause or answering visitors questions, he did it all with excellence. Though Norman loved serving the Lord in the PTL Ministry, his love for God and his family were first in his life.
Norman also worked with Jim & Tammy Faye during the heartbreaking demise of the PTL Ministry. Though heartbroken himself, he helped Jim & Tammy start a new church located off the grounds of Heritage USA in the summer of 1988. The New Covenant Church, or the “Church on the Move” as it was nicknamed, ministered to former PTL employees, partners and many members of the Heritage Village Church who found themselves in unchartered waters. Norman exhibited dignity and strength during those dark days as he encouraged people who were coping with the loss of PTL not to give up.
After the PTL Ministry changed hands, Norman and Dorothy experienced some overwhelming personal tragedies and trials, yet with the Lord’s help they overcame them through the unfailing faithfulness and grace of God. Dorothy is truly a courageous, forgiving woman who loved Norman unconditionally, and she cared for him until he passed. Actually, Dorothy stayed with her husband until he breathed his last breath while trying to sing Amazing Grace. Her absolute love for Norman is an inspiration and an incredible example to her family and to those who know her.
On Sunday afternoon the 26th, a private Memorial Service for Norman Bakker was held in the Upper Room at Heritage USA. Norman’s family and friends gathered together for A Celebration of the Life of Norman Bakker.
Bishop Ron Lambright opened the service with prayer and did the introductions. A ‘Video Remembrance’ was shown of Norman’s life that included snapshots from his childhood, his married life with Dorothy and their three children. The video concluded with pictures of Norman with some of his grandchildren and great grandchildren; he was blessed with eleven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
At the service, a few family members spoke of Norman’s life, including Norman’s son Roderick who shared how actively involved his “Pop” was in his childhood. Norman taught him many valuable life lessons as well as the importance of learning Bible scriptures. Roderick asked everyone not to mourn but to celebrate his father’s life because his “Pop” is in Heaven now, and one day we all will be there with him, if we believe. He read the 23rd Psalm that Norman required him to memorize when he was a small child. Though he didn’t like memorizing it, Roderick now treasures his father’s insistence. His heartfelt words of appreciation for his father’s love brought silent tears to everyone.
A letter Norman’s son ‘Norman’ wrote to his dad was read by Kasey Bakker, Norman’s grandson. It was another meaningful message expounding on his father’s love and patience as he was growing up. Sharing some special moments, he told how as a child he would curl up on his father’s comfortable lap and together they would watch sporting events on TV; baseball in the summer and football in the winter. He is so grateful that his dad umpired his little league games and played football with him and the neighborhood children. Both Roderick and Norman loved their father with all their heart.
The Memorial Message was given by Norman’s brother Pastor Jim Bakker, who attended the service with his wife Lori and his sister Donna Puckett.
Comforting family and friends with thoughtful, heartfelt words, Jim Bakker lovingly honored his brother’s life. He talked about how he, Norman, Donna and their brother Bob spent a lot of time together in their younger years living in a small home in Muskegon, Michigan. He went on to describe their bedroom being the size of a closet and Donna slept on the sofa in the living room.
They grew up in a close Christian family that attended church every Sunday morning and evening and Wednesday night. Pastor Jim recounted how blessed they were to be living next door to their loving Grandma Irwin who was always there for them and usually took their side when they misbehaved.
He shared a compelling story of how Norman overcame a serious deformity in one of his legs that affected his whole life by making the decision, as a teenager, to have the necessary surgery to help him live a more normal life. After the surgery, Norman was thrilled because he said that no one stared at him anymore.
Encouraging the family, Pastor Jim emphatically said, “Heaven is a real place! I’ve met too many people who went there and returned to tell about it. Norman is there right now running around as he could not do on earth and he is enjoying every moment of it!”
He continued his message speaking highly of Dorothy, describing her as “the greatest woman I have ever met in my entire life. She is so talented that whatever I asked her to do at PTL she always got the job done, and she is a great writer as well as a loving wife and mother.” He added that marrying Dorothy was the best decision Norman ever made. Everyone spontaneously applauded Dorothy after Jim Bakker honored her.
Some laughter was brought into the room when he talked about his childhood days with his brothers and sister that included “watching the radio!” As children, they would lie on the floor in front of a large radio at their Aunt Maude’s house staring at it as they listened to the exciting programs of that day. He told about Norman going fishing on the breakwater between Lake Michigan and Muskegon Lake for Perch, Catfish and Sunfish. Then their grandpa would sell the fish from his car by blowing the horn while he drove down the roads of their neighborhood letting everyone know he had fresh fish for sale! The stories were all so vivid that everyone listened intently.
In closing, Jim Bakker recognized all the children, grandchildren and great grandchildren of Norman and Dorothy, and then he asked Amanda Vollgraff, Norman’s granddaughter, to sing Norman’s favorite song, Amazing Grace. Everyone joined in with her and then Jim Bakker ended the service quoting Proverbs 17:6 which says, Children’s children are the crown of old men; and the glory of children are their fathers.

Tour of Heritage USA is back on-line. The ingenious website created by Ben Martin a few years ago is up and running again. This amazing site takes people on a virtual tour of Heritage USA as it used to be. God Bless Ben for putting it back on-line for all those who loved PTL and for those who never experienced seeing the grounds. It’s an amazing, nostalgic walk down Memory Lane. Thank you Ben Martin for keeping alive good memories of Heritage USA!

Even those closest to you—your parents, brothers, relatives, and friends—will betray you. They will even kill some of you. And everyone will hate you because you are my followers. But not a hair of your head will perish! By standing firm, you will win your souls. Luke 21:16-19 NLT
On the 6th, CNN reported: “Frigid air from the North Pole: What’s this polar vortex?” Americans in two dozen states from the Midwest to the Southeast and Northeast are shivering this week courtesy of a distorted polar vortex. The rush of cold air it’s sending southward is the biggest visitor from the North Pole since Santa Claus. The gifts it brings, however, are chilling and generally unwelcome. Much of the United States has plunged into a deep freeze from record low temperatures.

I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, and I have remained faithful. New Offices at campgrounds
During the month, construction of a new office building for the Crown International Campground and Coulston Enterprises went into full-force. Owner Earl Coulston also plans to expand the campground to make room for more campsites. This project includes using some of the property where PTL’s Amphitheatre once stood. Except for the parking lot, there was little left of the outdoor theatre after it was partially bulldozed in 2005. In 2012, it was totally torn down and the ground leveled.

Land where Amphitheater stood
It is a tragedy that so much of Heritage USA has either been torn or burned down (some of the bigger burns were supervised by our local fire departments). The premier Christian Retreat that ranked the third most visited destination in America, just behind Disneyland and Disney World during the 1980s, has slowly changed into a largely residential area that very few from back in the day can identify with. In spite of the great changes to the landscape, Heritage USA still lives in treasured memories of those who visited the ministry or watched PTL’s daily TV show.
The redeeming fact is that a number of buildings from the PTL Ministry have been restored and some of them continue to be used for ministry. The structures that remain include The Barn Auditorium, TV Studio, Total Learning Center, Upper Room, Heritage Grand Hotel, Lakeside Lodges, Welcome Center, World Outreach Center, PTL’s old log cabin where the original Campground Registration Office was located, Wagon Wheel Restaurant, two large timeshare Bunkhouses, Tram & Train Depot across from the Heritage Grand Hotel, five Lakeside Chalets and last but far from least the twenty-one story Towers.

Heritage Inn
Heritage USA’s massive transformation began in January 2005. It was agonizing to witness large sections of the mega ministry burned down, reconfigured and basically lose its identity.
Below are some of our personal pictures from 2005-06 when large areas of the grounds were being completely altered. We actually used one of the more dramatic photos in creating the cover for our book.
On the 16th, Mark Shannon, Moderator of the Remembering Heritage USA & PTL facebook page, posted an enlightening article detailing the ongoing battle between the owners of the condos at Kensington Place in Regent Park and the developer Malayan United Industries Berhad Carolina and Travelers. Mark is asking for prayer for the homeowners in this situation as they face a jury trial in York County. MUI Carolina and Travelers are being sued by the condo owners for monies to repair a badly deteriorated property. This unresolved situation has been going on for nearly six years.

The Kensington Place Regent Park Lawsuit facebook page posted the following message on the 28th of January:
MORE VICTORIES in APPEALS COURT for OWNERS – Kensington owners again had favorable rulings in Appeals Court this month. The most recent appeals, argued in court a few weeks ago, were filed by defendants, MUI and Travelers, in an effort to have the case dismissed. These motions had previously resulted in favorable rulings for owners. It upholds their right to take this case to trial. For nearly 6 years, owners’ attorneys have successfully battled the HOA Board for the right of owners to bring this lawsuit – the defendants repeatedly attempted to have owners removed from the case. This is great news for owners who are now preparing to begin a jury trial on Feb 3.

We join in prayer with Mark Shannon and the owners of the condos to win this lawsuit so that the building can be repaired without any further delays.
Upper Room: In the middle of a huge, paralyzing snowstorm that impacted our area from the 11th through the 13th, owner Russell James posted some of the most beautiful, peace-filled pictures of the Upper Room on the Upper Room’s facebook page. This building is truly a miraculous piece of PTL’s history that the Lord has preserved for all people. Thank you Russell for everything you do to serve the Lord!

During the month on the Jim Bakker Show, Pastor Jim announced that 2014 will be “The year of multiple revelation events,” and he continued focusing on the word the Lord revealed to him in triplicate – “COLD, COLD, COLD.”
The Lord also placed on his heart to share another word he received while visiting Heritage International Ministries in 2007. The word the Lord gave him at that time was “There is going to be a wounding on the left.”
Below is a short portion of the show where Jim Bakker speaks on these subjects.
On the 4th, MorningStar Ministries’ Pastor Rick Joyner wrote his thoughts for the New Year in a Special Bulletin, Restoring the Republic: Part 1:
The following is an excerpt:
“For many years now we have been saying that each year would be more challenging than the last. I don’t think we have been wrong yet. What can we expect for 2014? It will be even more challenging too, but that does not mean it will not be a great year. Keeping in mind that victories don’t come without battles, and no great victories without great battles, this is the year we can expect some breakthroughs and a turning. Now is the time to see these crises/opportunities and prepare for them.
2013 gave us shocking revelations, unprecedented in American history, of the government’s use of the IRS to intimidate and control political opposition, domestic spying by the NSA, and the building of an apparatus that could be used for totalitarian control even beyond the imagination of the authors of 1984 and Animal Farm. The year ended with Obamacare collapsing, the Administration reeling, stock markets soaring, and the politically incorrect Duck Dynasty rising in popularity far past the President or any other politician. We can learn much from these signs.
Not everyone who stood up for Phil Robertson of Duck Dynasty agreed with him. However, there was a rising agreement that he had the right to say what he thinks without being penalized. Repulsion to political correctness is on the rise as well as a refreshing embracing of anyone with clear speech and the courage to say what they actually think. This is certainly a good sign.
The revelations of our government’s domestic spying apparatus should have caused the greatest outrage of Americans. The relative passivity of Americans about this is troubling. However, there are also signs that people are waking up to this threat as well.
As the saying goes, “If you do not change your direction, you will end up where you are headed.” Therefore, we will look at these and other major revelations that are illuminating ultimate issues with serious consequences. We will do this using a slightly modified version of The Three Great Questions: Where are we headed? Where should we be headed? What can we do about it?”

Bob Jones
On Valentine’s Day the 14th, Bob Jones, an esteemed prophetic leader at MorningStar Ministries, passed away at 84 years of age. MorningStar Ministries’ biography of Bob Jones stated “He was a contemporary prophet with a great love for the Lord Jesus and His truth. His prophecies spanned over three decades as the Lord enabled him to foretell earthquakes, tidal waves, and weather patterns.
Like Daniel who functioned at an incredible level, Bob Jones often told leaders their dreams and experiences, as well as the interpretation. After years of running from God, Bob came to a wonderful salvation more than thirty years ago. He moved with a clear revelatory gifting, accompanied by gifts of healing and miracles since that time.”
A Memorial Service was held on Friday afternoon the 21st at MorningStar Ministries. The service was web-streamed and can be seen in MorningStar’s Archives at: www.MorningStarTV.com.

If you must choose, take a good name rather than great riches; for to be held in loving esteem is better than silver and gold. Proverbs 22:1 TLB

Bradford Pear Trees on Heritage Blvd.
Despite the cold punishing winter, the blossoms on the Bradford Pears lining Heritage Boulevard bloomed on time. The Lord promises in Genesis 8:22, “As long as the earth remains, there will be planting and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night.” It is very reassuring to know that we serve a mighty God who has authority over everything. We can trust in His Word to overcome whatever trial, hardship or tragedy that comes our way if we remain faithful to Him in both the good times and the hard times.
During the first week in March, there was an unexpected move off the grounds by The Broadcast Group. This full source production company and media agency has overseen The Barn Auditorium, TV Studio and Total Learning Center since 2009. Within a few days, the whole company packed up and relocated a few miles away and is now renting offices at the Rubin Center business park.

Barn Auditorium
Dr. Dale Hill, President of The Broadcast Group, has not yet commented on the move. For over five years this exceptional production company invested a tremendous amount of money and effort to further the work of restoring the complex. By 2012, they refurbished the buildings and reopened The Barn Auditorium, which had been in great disrepair for several years. One of the first events hosted by The Broadcast Group in the restored Barn was in November 2012 when more than 2,400 people came out to see Pastor John Hagee of Cornerstone Church in San Antonio, Texas.

Dr. Hill is a man of integrity who is greatly respected among his peers. He worked with Jim & Tammy Faye Bakker pioneering Christian TV in the 1960s, and is the man who was responsible for daily bringing the PTL Show into the homes of millions of people worldwide. May the Lord bless him and his staff and keep them filled with strength and hope in the coming days as they work through this overwhelming move.

The Antioch Church
During the first week of the month, we learned that Pastor Peter Wyns of the Antioch Church located on the grounds is in the process of buying the Barn Auditorium, TV Studio and the Total Learning Center as well as 16 acres of property near where the former outdoor Amphitheatre stood. If all goes well, next month the Antioch Church will be moving out of the building they are now renting and move into their new location. There has not been an official announcement on the closing date of the sale as of the writing of this update.

On the 7th, Tammy Faye would have celebrated her 72nd birthday. To this day there are countless people who remember her strong faith in the Lord and incredible love for people from all walks of life. Tammy Faye’s larger than life personality and encouraging songs can still reach deep into the hearts of hurting people. Whether the cameras were turned on or off, Tammy Faye was transparent, real and she never hesitated to openly speak her mind. It was an incredible experience to be around her.

Tammy Faye Memorial inside the Heritage Grand
Soon after Tammy Faye passed, MorningStar Ministries created a Memorial to honor her life and legacy. It is located in a small corner at the end of Main Street inside the Heritage Grand Hotel.
The Towers: On the 17th, at the bi-monthly meeting of the York County Council Eric Kinsinger, spokesman for the Tear Down the MorningStar Tower group, was there to represent concerned citizens who are resolved to obtain an answer on a completion date of the building, or a date to tear it down. There has not been any movement on the Towers’ stalemate in two years.
Eric gave a brief statement of his concerns and what he would like to see happen. He said he was very upset because after two years “nothing is being done.”
On the 19th, our local TV station WCNC did an interview on the Heritage grounds with Eric Kinsinger and another concerned resident. Tony Burbeck of NBC Charlotte conducted the interview with Eric Kinsinger and afterward wrote the following article:
Residents frustrated over PTL Tower ‘eyesore’ ~ by Tony Burbeck
FORT MILL, S.C. — Neighbors say the fight over the future of the old PTL tower in Fort Mill is taking too long and yielding no progress except an eyesore that’s looking even worse. It’s been two years this month since York County and MorningStar Ministries, the tower’s owner, ended up trading barbs which led to a lawsuit which is currently being litigated, officials say.
Neighbor Eric Kinsinger wore a shirt to the York County Council meeting this week which reads “I am not a team player.”
One council member read it out loud. Kinsinger says he wore it out of frustration. “They’ve done nothing,” Kinsinger said, “I’ve given up.” March 2012 is when county leaders said MorningStar had enough time to repair the tower and claim the church violated a five-year development agreement, which included fixing the tower or the church tearing it down with its own money.
March, 2012, is also when MorningStar held a news conference saying it planned to spend millions to turn the tower into upscale senior condos, but alleged false information from the county harmed the church’s finances.
“I just really want to know when something is going to get done,” Kinsinger said to county leaders. So does Jim Costanzo, who lives in Baden Village near the tower. “Look at the building, it’s an eyesore. I know probably 90-percent of the residents here wish it was gone,” Costanzo said.
Neighbors say the tower now looks worse with what appears to be more windows smashed out. “Nothing is positive about it. I don’t know what the plans are,” said Costanzo. There has been some progress around the tower property. The old castle is gone and brand new homes are being built.
“That monstrosity of a 242 foot tall building has never had a certificate of occupancy since it was built. It should have never gone this long. I mean it’s been here for, we’re going on 28 years now,” Kinsinger said.
“It is in the court system. They are doing due diligence. Just know that, okay,” replied County Council Member Joe Cox during Monday night’s meeting.
NBC Charlotte contacted MorningStar, but so far haven’t heard back. Jim Bakker resigned 27 years ago Wednesday as chairman of PTL Ministries.
York County recently filed a motion calling all parties to present all their information and all disclosures must be made. A jury trial will become necessary only if the situation warrants one.

The 19th of March marked the 27th anniversary of the day Jim Bakker resigned as President of the PTL Television Network and Heritage USA. This date stands out as a yearly reminder of how much our lives were suddenly turned upside down along with thousands of people involved with the PTL Ministry. That infamous day was especially shocking to Rick and I as we realized we were about to move to ‘ground zero’ of a scandal that would rock the Christian world.
Little did we know on that nightmarish day we were in God’s will. Right before we actually moved in June, the Lord revealed an incredible revelation that has carried us through many trials, tribulations, and persecution. We have learned, sometimes the hard way, that when the Lord sends His word He will watch over it to perform what He promises.
Below is an excerpt from our book “Listen To Me!” telling of that day:
Chapter 19 ~ Countdown to March 19, 1987 – pages 169-170
Amazingly, by mid February we had a solid buyer for our home. After a few of the usual negotiation delays, our lawyer phoned us with a date to go to contract. On the morning of March 19th, we drove to his office in the city. Rick and I didn’t encounter one problem going over the paperwork, and it took less than a hour to sign and seal the transaction.
Right after we left the city, I started to feel very uneasy. The day was overcast and gray, seeming strangely ominous. For some reason I wasn’t excited. On the way home I just stared out of our car window thinking, “This was too easy.” It was as if God had whisked us from one thing to another over the past nine months without wasting a minute of time.
I was very much aware that nothing this good comes without some kind of spiritual battle. I started thinking about Roseann Grennan’s telephone call from PTL a few weeks earlier saying, “Chris Baumann, all hell breaks loose trying to move down here!” There was a lot of truth to what she said, but we were sliding through everything without any unusual problems. My uneasy feelings were very real; there was a foreboding presence that surrounded me all the way home and I couldn’t ignore it no matter how hard I tried.
By suppertime, I was still preoccupied in thought when our phone rang. It was Bob Dietrich calling us from PTL. He was in a very somber mood as he told Rick that he had just come from a prayer service at the Upper Room where Uncle Henry made the unexpected announcement that, “Jim Bakker has resigned.” When Rick relayed this to me, my uneasiness suddenly lifted. It was as if I expected bad news, and now I knew why I felt so deeply troubled.
Bob went on to say the news had not reached New York yet, and he called to tell us first. Rick tried to assure him it would all work out, but Bob had recently moved there and was beyond consoling. He contended, “Sure, that’s easy for you to say because you’re up there and I am living down here!”
During the month, as revelation events continue to escalate, Morningside Ministries in Blue Eye, Missouri held a weeklong seminar on how to survive in a crisis. Jim Bakker wants to help people learn different ways to be prepared for the end times, which he believes we are entering into.
The “Ready Now Expo” was well-attended and featured survival experts including Dr. Paul Williams, author of WHEN ALL PLANS FAIL. These seminars prepared people for any emergency situation, both natural and manmade. All the survival seminars can be purchased through Morningside Ministries in Blue Eye, Missouri, or on their website: www.jimbakkershow.com.

Red Blood Moon
Among Pastor Jim’s other guests in March was Pastor Mark Biltz of El Shaddai Ministries in Bonney Lake, Washington. Mark Biltz is the man who first discovered the Blood Moons phenomena. His startling revelations were referred to in Pastor John Hagee’s recent book Four Blood Moons. Since then, Pastor Biltz has released his own book titled Blood Moons, and before the book went into print it was already a best seller. These fascinating shows can be seen in the Archives section of the Jim Bakker Show or on Pastor Biltz’s website: http://www.elshaddaiministries.us/
NASA (National Aeronautics Space Agency) has officially named the phenomena of red colored moons appearing in the sky, “Blood Moons.” Throughout history Blood Moons have appeared during a total lunar eclipse, which is what causes the moon to appear red.

How a blood moon is formed
What Pastor Biltz discovered is that in the last 500 years there has only been three times that four consecutive blood moons appeared in a two-year period in conjunction with the Jewish holy days of Passover and the Feast of Tabernacles. When he researched this information, he learned that startling historical events concerning Israel occurred on or around these dates.
The first set of four consecutive blood moons in the past 500 years appearing on the holy days of Passover and the Feast of Tabernacles were in 1493-1494, around the Spanish Inquisition. This was a time when the Jewish people were being persecuted. Some were tortured if they didn’t convert to the religion of that time, some were forced to flee without a single thing they owned, and some were reported to have actually left on Christopher Columbus’ ships when he discovered America.
The second set of four blood moons that appeared on the holy days of Passover and Feast of Tabernacles were in 1949-1950. This was the time when the Jewish people returned to their land and Israel was miraculously reborn as a nation.
The third set of four blood moons were recorded by NASA as occurring in 1967-1968 when the Six Day War against Israel took place. Israel not only won the war in six days, but against all odds recaptured Jerusalem for the first time in 2000 years.
The following dates are when the next set of four blood moons will appear in a two year period on the Jewish Holy Days of Passover and Feast of Tabernacles:
- April 15, 2014 at Passover
- October 8, 2014 at the Feast of Tabernacles
- April 4th, 2015 at Passover
- September 28, 2015 at the Feast of Tabernacles
Note: There will also be a total solar eclipse in March of 2015, which fits into the pattern of these types of blood moons falling on the above mentioned Jewish holy days.
During the month, Jim Bakker promoted the new movie SON OF GOD which is now playing in theatres. He urged people to support the Christian film produced by Roma Downey and her husband Mark Burnett, who were guests on the Jim Bakker Show.
After seeing the movie, Jim & Lori hosted another show talking about its life changing message of Jesus’ life, crucification, burial and resurrection. During the show, Tammy Sue sang one of the most powerful songs about Jesus’ mother Mary. She was so inspired by the movie that her rendition of this song is beyond words.
Click video to watch Tammy Sue sing Mary Did You Know.
A look back ~ This March 1982 TV broadcast of the PTL Show is when Jim Bakker surprised Tammy Faye on her 40th birthday with a huge party. This is a wonderful memory of Tammy Faye’s life and a way to realize how much was lost when PTL fell apart. You will see a lot of familiar faces on this special broadcast.

Antioch Church (The Barn)
At the beginning of the month, Pastor Peter Wyns announced that the Antioch International Church has purchased the Barn Auditorium, TV Studio and the Total Learning Center. Almost immediately, the congregation took on the challenge of moving into the large complex.
New sign Antioch hung on the brick column at the entrance to the Barn.

New sign at entrance to Barn
On the 6th, a special Dedication Service of the Antioch Church was held in the Barn. Below are two short videos taken by Steve Martin who captured a few moments from the first church gathering in the Barn Auditorium.
On the 12th, Antioch International Church hosted an “Open House and Donation Auction” in the lobby of the TV Studio. The event was similar to an auction except each guest was given a numbered card and, as an item was read aloud from a list of needed equipment, people would raise their card if they wanted to donate or purchase it for the church. EVERYONE IN OUR AREA WAS INVITED.
From furniture for their new offices and children’s nursery, to items for a new café to be located in the lobby of the TV Studio, this special “donation/auction” was successful in acquiring some much needed equipment to support Antioch’s “new beginnings.”
On the 13th, Antioch International Church held another church service in the Barn that was open to everyone. Prior to the service, postcards were hand-delivered to residents in our area inviting them to attend.
The invitation stated, Welcome to New Beginnings!
Join us starting Sunday April 13th at the Barn – 8400 Regent Parkway. Antioch is a family church. The postcard listed the following ministries offered by the church;
Dynamic Children’s Program,
Fuel Youth Explosion,
School of Evangelism,
Ministry Training Center,
School of the Arts, and the Olive Tree Café.
On the 15th, the first in a series of four Blood Moons appeared in the sky. It was reported that millions of people tuned into NASA (National Aeronautical & Space Agency) to see the “live streaming” of the lunar eclipse.
Below is a report from Fox News and a link to witness a time lapsed video that NASA released. What took a few hours to occur, NASA consolidated into less than two minutes.

Fox News reported: “Photos: First in series of ‘Blood Moon’ lunar eclipses captured.” The first total lunar eclipse since 2011 graced the night sky into early Tuesday morning. Dubbed a ‘blood moon’ for the reddish-orange glow it takes on during the eclipse, it is the first of four lunar eclipses that will happen in approximate six-month intervals.

Below is a short video from the Jim Bakker Show of Pastor Mark Biltz talking about the phenomena. Pastor Biltz is the man who first discovered the link between Blood Moons and the Jewish holy days of Passover and Feast of Tabernacles.
During the month, MorningStar Ministries invited the residents and families living on the grounds to their “first” Spring Festival that was held in front of the Heritage Grand on Saturday the 19th. In spite of the rain, the free event that included an egg hunt, games, rides, live music and fabulous food brought people together for an enjoyable time. After the successful Fall Festival in October of last year, MorningStar decided to host one in the spring.

In our recent travels around the grounds, we noticed the Artisans Salon, a multifaceted beauty salon located in one of the buildings just over the railroad tracks. Owner/Stylist Cindy Seyfert, along with Licensed Esthetician Joann Simmons and their friendly staff, offer a wide menu of services including Hair, Nail, Face and Body Treatments. We had the unexpected opportunity of meeting these delightful people who graciously invited us in to see their lovely, fully-equipped establishment.

The Towers: As of this month, there has been no news on the outcome of the lawsuit filed by MorningStar Ministries against York County.
The Upper Room: Recently, Bishop Ron Lambright, Pastor of the Upper Room, had to be hospitalized for heart related issues. Michelle Lambright Black, Bishop Lambright’s daughter, is keeping everyone updated on his condition. The latest reports from Michelle on the Upper Room’s facebook page said, “Update on Dad (Ron Lambright): Procedures went well. Dad is back in his room. His doctor believes he will be discharged this evening. His next procedure/surgery is scheduled for next Tuesday, April 22nd. Thanks so much for your prayers.”
Cheri Lambright Young, Bishop Lambright’s oldest daughter, updated her Dad’s progress after the second procedure/surgery on the 22nd. “Dad is in recovery. The surgeon said his procedure went well. He will probably stay in the hospital for a few days to get the fluid off his lungs which was there before today’s procedure started. Then his final heart surgery should happen in about 30 days. Thanks again for all your prayers today and continued prayers for healing and quick recovery. – Cheri N Freddie Young.
Bishop Lambright is one of the original pastors who ministered at the Upper Room during the PTL years, and he continues to pastor there. Church services are held on Sunday mornings at 11 a.m. Please keep him in prayer at this trying time for the Lambright family. During the month on the Jim Bakker Show, Lori Bakker kept viewers updated on her journey to recovery during her latest treatments for Hepatitis C, a disease she has been battling for thirty years. Lori needs everyone’s prayers to overcome this life-threatening disease.
On the 9th, Lori wrote the following message:
It’s About finishing Well ~ By Lori Bakker
I just want to thank you all. I have literally felt the prayers of the saints during this process of taking these medications to get well. I know that God is the Great Physician and He is the one who gives medical help so I’m grateful for the process I’m going through even though it’s rough some days.
In the past year or so, I watched my body decline in different areas and I thought my liver was having a hard time. But, I felt an urgency that I had to get well because of the days we’re living in. I had to be strong for what God has for us to do!
Jim always thanks me for coming and sitting next to him on the shows when I really should be home in bed. But that’s my place and my joy because that is what God has given us to do and I want to do it to the best of my ability.
I believe in finishing strongly in anything you do in life. You can ask my kids – ask Sasha, ask Harmony, ask the Master’s kids. It’s not how you start in life, it’s how you finish – whatever it is – and you have to finish strong.
So, I just encourage people to finish strong in life and when you’re going through pain and suffering and trials and tribulations (and who doesn’t?) just remember that this is the Harvest Time! This is the greatest time to be alive! Rabbi Cahn said it the other day on a broadcast: We could have all been chosen for any time in history to be alive and He chose YOU – right now – at this moment to be alive. The Harvest Time – this is the time to win souls!
It’s all about Him and about the Kingdom! Let’s Make sure we honor God in how we do this thing called life – because He has appointed us to be here right now and He has given us this gift. Let’s be about the business of winning souls for Him in these last days! Love, Lori
As Pastor Jim continues to focus on the Book of Revelation, he has been featuring special guests on his show who are very knowledgeable about the times we are living in.
He wrote the following message about one of the threats our nation is facing:
One Second After
“God has really shown us His favor and we have booked some of the most knowledgeable people on the planet to speak to the concerns we face as Christians in today’s world. People are responding with urgency that we haven’t seen before – and that is a good thing! That shows that the Body of Christ is waking up and moving, and preparing for perilous times! (2 Timothy 3:1)
One of our recent guests, Michael Maloof, the author of ‘A Nation Forsaken’ and an expert in the threat of EMP attacks, brought home the fact it would take very little to bring down the entire America power grid and thrust us immediately into the dark ages. He warned of small scale, as well as large scale attacks designed to maximize confusion and panic: the result being over 200 million (projected) deaths from starvation and disease.
In the book, “One Second After” by William Forstchen, we get a glimpse into the immediate realities of a small community in North Carolina after an EMP attack cripples their world. Anarchy, disease, martial law, starvation and lack of water all arrive on the scene within a matter of days. This is a fictional account, but some day it may be an all-too-real reality. The book asks the question: ‘One second after an EMP attack, it will be too late to ask two simple questions: what should we have done to prevent the attack and why didn’t we do it.’
Lori and I pray all the time that God’s people won’t have to ask themselves why they didn’t heed the warnings and prepare for events such as these. We are doing our best to warn people to get ready NOW so that you and your family, your friends and even your entire community can survive! We need to be the ones with the answers when it all comes down and we can be – if we act NOW.
Our message is not one of just surviving, but being able to minister to spiritual needs with the love of God in a hurting world. We can do that best by first meeting the basic physical needs for food and water – and only then, as Lori says, can we talk to them about our Jesus.
We are living in the days of Revelation and major events are about to happen all over the world. But, DO NOT FEAR, for these things tell us that Jesus is coming back and the Bible is true.
In my Bible studies I have come to learn that there are over 365 places in the Bible that God tells us to ‘Fear Not,’ in many different ways! Here is a good one from the lips of Jesus:
“Are not five sparrows sold for two farthings, and not one of them is forgotten before God? But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not therefore: ye are of more value than many sparrows.” Luke 12:6-7
Remember, God loves you – He really does! And we love you too!
Jim

A look back ~ Dressed for spring, Tammy Faye, along with the PTL Singers, sing the encouraging, The Sun Will Shine Again.
Signs of the times:
You should know this, Timothy, that in the last days there will be very difficult times. For people will love only themselves and their money. They will be boastful and proud, scoffing at God, disobedient to their parents, and ungrateful. They will consider nothing sacred. They will be unloving and unforgiving; they will slander others and have no self-control. They will be cruel and hate what is good. They will betray their friends, be reckless, be puffed up with pride, and love pleasure rather than God. They will act religious, but they will reject the power that could make them godly. Stay away from people like that! 2 Timothy 3:1-6 TLB

So don’t be misled, my dear brothers and sisters. Whatever is good and perfect comes down to us from God our Father, who created all the lights in the heavens. He never changes or casts a shifting shadow. He chose to give birth to us by giving us his true word. And we, out of all creation, became his prized possession. James 1:16-19 NLT

Another Ministry changed location! Practically overnight, as the Antioch Church moved into the Barn Auditorium, Evangelist Todd Bentley moved his Fresh Fire Ministry into Antioch’s old location at 8180 Regent Parkway. For the past few years, Todd Bentley’s ministry office had been located off Main Street in the Heritage Grand Hotel.
On the 9th–10th, Fresh Fire hosted their first meetings called Charlotte Ablaze at their new center. The services were a time of worship, celebration and dedication of the new FFM facility. Both nightly services were open to the public and included healing, inspiration and ministry.
Todd Bentley announced the sudden change on his website:
“The miracle of the Lords provision has been astounding! To think that just a week ago, we as a ministry were not actively pursuing a center although its been a matter of prayer and vision of our heart. This opportunity came sovereignly and surprisingly. The excitement, financial testimonies, and the willingness of the people to serve has made this dream a reality for Fresh Fire Ministries. We have signed the contracts on the building and have begun the necessary development and fundraising for all necessary sound, chairs and practical details. We have now met 50% of our initial need in the first week…” Todd Bentley

Upper Room: Russell James held a Volunteer Work Week at the Upper Room
May 19th – 23rd from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Volunteers came out to help him with cleaning, plumbing, painting and yard work. Russell is blessed with faithful, committed people who honor the Lord by giving of their time and talent to this special place. By the end of the week, the combined effort of all the volunteers made a beautiful difference both to the grounds and the interior of the building.
Below is a slideshow of some of the work done to the property that includes a new herb garden, pressure washing the walkways, cleaning the carpets and sprucing up the grounds.
The Lord chose wisely when he led Russell to purchase one of the most inspirational buildings on the grounds. He is a gifted man of God who possesses many talents and truly loves people.
When life becomes overwhelming, the unmistakable presence of the Lord at the Upper Room brings peace and hope to everyone who visits. The chapel is open for prayer and meditation on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Sundays from 1 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. There is always someone there to welcome you during these times.
Bishop Ron Lambright is regaining his health and has resumed preaching at the 11 a.m. Sunday church service. His courage and dedication to serving the Lord despite his health issue is amazing.
The Restoration House Worship Center, pastored by Randy Hill, holds a Sunday night service at 6:30 p.m. ALL ARE WELCOME!
There was another ‘A Call to Worship’ service held in the Upper Room on Saturday, May 31st. These services are a great time for young and old alike!

“The 2014 National Observance of the National Day of Prayer was broadcast live from the Cannon House Office Building in Washington, D.C., on Thursday, May 1, 2014, from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. EST.
Speakers included Honorary Chair Anne Graham Lotz (daughter of Rev. Billy Graham), Dr. James (Ph.D.) and Shirley Dobson, Congressman Robert Aderholt, the Honorable Bob McEwen, Congressman Mike McIntyre, Don Moen, Chaplain Father Patrick Conroy, Dick Eastman, David Butts, John Bornschein, and others.
Anne Graham Lotz was the keynote speaker for the largest National Day of Prayer in history – broadcast and live-streamed around the world.
Anne spoke of two very significant events from God’s point of view:
- The re-birth of the nation of Israel after 2000 years of non-existence.
- The Gospel of Jesus Christ is now being preached to the whole world, throughout the Internet, television, radio and ham radio. (And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come. Matthew 24:14)
Anne warned that America has strayed so far from the ways of God that time is running out and judgment is coming soon. She said that God is urgently warning America to repent now!
She spoke from Joel 1 and paralleled that with today’s America.
She called the following signs, alarms:
- Katrina, earthquakes disasters, forest fires, floods, tornadoes, droughts, at unprecedented levels that are increasing in intensity and frequency
- Social disasters: alcoholism, substance abuse, abortions
- Shootings in schools and the workplace
- An $18 trillion national debt, economic collapse, financial disasters
- She said there is an un-human army destroying our nation: pornography, immorality, generational hatred, prejudice, lack of faith in God, lack of fear of God – and in the church, too
- Outside the church you have secularism, humanism, atheism, agnosticism
- Spiritual disasters and so forth
Anne also pointed out that while God is sending severe and scary warnings, redemption is still within our reach. If America will turn back to prayer and repent, God will forgive the nation’s wicked ways and heal our land.
‘It is time to wake up and cry out to God,’ she declared.”

From the 8th –10th, MorningStar Ministries held an Advanced Prophetic Assembly in the Heritage Grand. Rick Joyner said of the event,
“We need the prophets like never before. Acts 2:17-18 is now being fulfilled. Prophetic revelation is being poured out in increasing measure, and we need it to navigate through these times. I am expecting everyone who comes to this event to leave on a much higher level than they came, with a trajectory to keep going higher.”

The Fort Mill Times recently published a commentary written by William D. Winship, a newcomer to our area. Both he and his wife have become interested in the people and history that has shaped Fort Mill.
Below is the commentary written by William D. Winship
Fort Mill’s history is rich in religion
“As newcomers, Cherie and I continue to enjoy learning about people and events that shaped Fort Mill and the surrounding communities.
We have interviewed a number of leaders in the community, and as we have listened, it has occurred to us that one thing that would be absolutely helpful to any future collaboration of leaders in this community would be prayer.
Not too many people that were of adult age during the 1980s will forget the names of Jim and Tammy Faye Bakker. Pastors Jim and Tammy Faye built PTL Ministries and Heritage USA, the third most successful theme park in the USA at the time. Unfortunately, this gifted couple became lost in the glitz and glamour of their popularity and were eventually indicted for a number of fiscal improprieties directly related to the ministry of PTL. This scandal shut down the ministry once and for all.
It’s been 10 years since the remaining Heritage USA property was purchased and rededicated as a center for ministry. Pastor Rick Joyner has located his world-changing MorningStar Ministries there. Also, pastors Mahesh and Bonnie Chavda have located their unique All Nations Church at Heritage.
Under the guidance of these gifted ministry leaders, the former PTL Ministries property again is making a significant contribution to the larger Fort Mill community.
Praise the Lord, indeed!
Another ministry leader who has decided to pick up one of the pieces of the former Heritage USA property is Russell James. He is the ministry leader of the Upper Room and one of those leaders who has invested himself in redeeming the once-abandoned property. James, who refers to himself as “The Gardner,” believes that he was inspired by God to purchase the prayer and worship center that was a remnant of Heritage USA.
In hearing James’ heart for the Upper Room, it is obvious that the Heritage USA property has once again become holy ground in the heart of the Fort Mill community. If you have the opportunity to visit the former Heritage USA property, please make every effort to do so. You will not be disappointed by the warm welcome you receive and the sense of peace you will feel by strolling the grounds.
Recently, a friend of mine in the community invited me to breakfast. His name is Ken Davis. He was involved with the PTL Ministry when it was flourishing and shared with me what it was like when that ministry was at its best – and at its worst. For Davis, the reviving of the Heritage USA property for ministry is a very satisfying thing. He believes that the property, once dedicated to the work of Christian ministry, should always remain dedicated to the work of ministry. So after breakfast, Davis decided to introduce me to “The Gardner” of the Upper Room Prayer Ministry, James.
What a blessing it was to spend the day in this sacred space. James is a man of strong faith, deep humility, and possessed of a true servant’s heart. The express purpose of the Upper Room Ministry is to provide the community with a place of worship and prayer. I can tell you with all sincerity that the Upper Room Ministry provides that exactly. Personally, I was coming off a very stressful week, and after spending time in the Upper Room, I felt refreshed and ready to meet the challenges of the day.
Please know that in writing this column this week, I am not attempting to lift one religion or any churches up above the others. I simply want to report on an aspect of this community that is historic in the annals of Christian religion, and most certainly had a dramatic impact on the Fort Mill community during its peak years of ministry.
Cherie and I would love to accept any invitations to visit your local ministry or congregation in an effort to become more familiar with the many ways God is touching the community of Fort Mill.
In this season, may God’s peace be with you.
You can reach William Winship and his wife, Cherie, at william@portacle.com.

The Bigger Picture: It is good to read something positive about Heritage USA. However, it is sad that Jim & Tammy Faye Bakker are still discredited and made to look dishonest. They seemingly will not be remembered for creating Heritage USA, nor for their great accomplishments in pioneering Christian TV, which brought the Gospel of Jesus Christ into the homes of millions of people worldwide through the 700 Club, the Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN), the PTL Satellite Network and currently the NOW Generation Internet programs at: www.jimbakkershow.com.
In past years, there have been more than a few ministers who have fallen. Jim Bakker is not the first man of God to have sinned. From King David who had his lover’s husband murdered on the battlefield, to the Apostle Paul who considered himself as “chief among sinners,” there is a long list of failed Christian leaders that span generations. Romans 3:23 says, “For ALL have sinned and come short of the glory of God.” The Bible is clear that there is none righteous – no not one. Jesus took all our sins to the cross – it is by grace that we are saved, not through our “good behavior.”
Though Jim Bakker repented a hundred times over for his terribly embarrassing moral failure, he was made into the ‘poster boy’ of church scandals. Complicating the scandal, countless lies were told about Jim & Tammy to insure their demise. It was a scandal within a scandal because it was church people and ministers that made things worse by deliberately lacing the story with hideous falsehoods that completely destroyed the whole Bakker family and Heritage USA.
Reverend Bob Gass, a minister who was very much involved with the PTL Ministry said it best when he wrote the following comment long after the scandal broke.
“In 1987, the largest audience ever to watch ABC’s “Nightline” looked in as Ted Koppel interviewed Jim Bakker. The scandal had broken! Twenty million Americans watched and heard Ted Koppel say…
‘This is a first in my career as a journalist. Usually we have to go out and get the story. But not this time! The preachers of America came running to us, each competing with the other to see who could tell it first. Like the soldiers who gambled for His garments, one sort his ministry, another his mailing list, and another his crown!’
Ironically, Jim Bakker was not on trial that night. The Church was! The world watched how we handled one our own who had fallen and was in desperate need of help. If this is how we treat one of our own in crisis, how can we ever expect the world to understand? And why would we expect them to rush through the church’s doors when their own lives fall apart? Something has got to change!”
Jim Bakker has prayed for the people “in the know” to come forward and tell the truth of what really led up to his sudden resignation from the PTL Ministry. Quoting from Proverbs, Jim has said time and time again, “Any story sounds true until someone tells the other side.”
When Pastor Jim reflected on the “violent loss” of his ministry when he returned for a visit to Heritage USA in 2013, he carried a deep heartbreak that has not fully healed. He told everyone in the audience about the hostile takeover of the PTL Ministry, and how it could have been avoided if only the church had “circled the wagons.” Sadly, there are people who know exactly how his downfall was planned, and yet they stay silent to this day.
Because the full story has been covered up, the stigma of the Bakker name continues to follow him, his children and his grandchildren. Jim Bakker failed morally, made mistakes, and trusted the wrong people. Even so, he did not mislead people, steal money nor did he commit the countless transgressions he was accused of by the media and his enemies.
March 19th marked the 27th anniversary since Jim Bakker resigned from the PTL Ministry and was thereafter defrocked by his denomination. Only a few people know that he was found “not guilty” of defrauding anyone by a Federal Jury at a second trial that was held in 1996. By then, it was assumed that it was too late for him to return on the world scene – but God was with him!
Jim and Tammy divorced in 1993 and Tammy Faye passed away from lung cancer in 2007. Jim Bakker remarried in the late 1990’s.
Though Jim Bakker’s new ministry in Blue Eye, Missouri is reaching as many people as did the PTL Satellite Network, the majority of people in the church still shun the Bakker name, and his entire family continues to suffer over it.
A look Back ~
Below is one of the many interviews that Jim & Tammy gave during their ordeal. It is from 1987.
Signs of the times:
But you aren’t in the dark about these things, dear brothers and sisters, and you won’t be surprised when the day of the Lord comes like a thief. For you are all children of the light and of the day; we don’t belong to darkness and night. 1 Thessalonians 5:4-6

On the 7th, the World News Daily reported: “‘Harbinger’ Rabbi: ‘Smile of Heaven’ removed from America.” The prophetic words delivered in 1789 by President George Washington in his first inaugural speech echoed loud and clear Wednesday evening in the chamber of the U.S. Capital’s Statuary Hall – this time in the voice of Rabbi Jonathan Cahn, author of the best-selling “The Harbinger.”
The venue was a one-of-a-kind prayer meeting called “Washington: A Man of Prayer, 2014,” commemorating the events of April 30, 1789, when, after being sworn in at Federal Hall, Washington, accompanied by Congress, proceeded to St. Paul’s Chapel where, as one of his first official acts, he offered a prayer of dedication to God on America’s behalf.
The hall was filled with government officials, members of Congress, justices and other invited guests. The event – hosted by Rep. Michele Bachmann, R-Minn. and emceed by Mike Huckabee – was televised and live-streamed by WND.
The original video of Rabbi Cahn’s passionate speech has been taken down, but he made a speech in 2013 at Capital Hill commemorating the inauguration of our nation’s first president, George Washington.

Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord: And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse. Malachi 4:5-6 KJV
Main Street inside the Heritage Grand Hotel is one of the few places that decades of changes to the grounds haven’t radically affected. Today, people that visit Main Street who remember PTL as it once was often comment that it is still an incredibly beautiful, nostalgic place that brings to life their vivid memories of bygone days.
Whether watching the activity on the whimsically designed street whenever the PTL Show televised on location from there or actually visiting the ministry, millions of people were captivated by its spiritual atmosphere that could be felt even through a TV screen. In fact, many of today’s visitors who were children when they first came to PTL like to reminisce while walking down the old street about the “little slice of Heaven” as Heritage USA was so often called.
It is bittersweet to see PTL as it is looks today, but strolling down Main Street on the familiar cobblestone sidewalks, visiting the Heritage USA Museum and remembering simpler times helps some people conclude that all was not lost.

The Grand Cafeteria’s restoration continues:
Progress is being made on the completion of the kitchen in the Grand Cafeteria inside the hotel. It has been slow going, but the cafeteria that once was recorded in the Guinness Book of World Records for serving the most meals in a single day in the mid 1980s should open soon.

The acreage next to the campground where the Amphitheatre was located is being developed; there are rumors that more new homes will be constructed there. Time will tell, but if another development is squeezed into that area it would become an overly crowded section to live or camp.
On the 5th, we received a message from Eric Fransen, Founder and Managing Partner of Aviv Moon Production.
The message read: The Barn and Studio A
“I’m excited to announce that Aviv Moon Productions has opened up its 2nd location in Fort Mill, SC. We have entered into an agreement with the owners of The River Place (Old Heritage USA/PTL Studios) to manage all studio, video production, and event bookings for The River Place. The Aviv Moon Productions team is very excited!”
When Pastor Peter Wyns moved the Antioch Church into the Barn, he mentioned that he was going to open the complex up to other people/ministries to be a part of this new endeavor. Plans are now in the works to bring special events and other quality gatherings to the complex.

Among Jim & Lori’s special guests this month was Pastor Mark Biltz, the man who first discovered the link between Israel and the Blood Moons. Since his last appearance on Jim’s program, Pastor Biltz’s book Blood Moons has become a best-seller and he has been invited on several major networks and TV programs including Fox News, Daystar, Trinity Broadcasting Network, NBC, the Jewish Voice and Sid Roth’s It’s Supernatural!
The following hour-long video is from Mark Biltz’s ministry, El Shaddai Ministries in Bonney Lake, Washington http://www.elshaddaiministries.us/. It is well worth watching as Pastor Biltz explains the remarkable significance of the Blood Moons.
Jim Bakker is more dogmatic than ever before that now is the time the world is entering into the tribulation times. One of the reasons he feels this way is the recent unprecedented turmoil in the Middle East, which he prophesied years ago after his five year exhaustive study of the Book of Revelation in the early 1990’s.
The ‘key’ word to opening up his understanding of the Book of Revelation came while researching the word “shortly” found in Revelation 1:1. The word brings amazing clarity to the end times when translated into the language it was originally written in. Pastor Jim’s discovery of the actual meaning of this word completely changes our understanding of how end time events unfold.
On the 28th, the Upper Room hosted another A Call to Worship service. The evening was a little different because Mary Greene, the woman who coordinates these special services, presented an inspiring program given by the children from the first-ever Vacation Bible School held in the Upper Room from the 24th-27th.

First Vacation Bible School held at the Upper Room
All the children sported their colorful Ty-Dye shirts that they made at school as they sang, danced and gave an overall uplifting performance that delighted everyone in attendance. This was followed by their regular A Call to Worship service. Altogether it was an awesome evening.
The next A Call to Worship service is July 26th at 7 p.m. ALL ARE WELCOME.
During the month, Russell James announced that starting June 21st, the Upper Room will extend its hours on Saturdays from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Their Sunday hours will remain from 1:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.

A look back ~ The 4th of July at Heritage USA in 1986 brought together over 50,000 people from around the world to enjoy this holiday. The PTL Ministry always put together an over-the-top celebration as it is also the anniversary of Jim Bakker’s start in ministry.

On the 8th, the Fort Mill Times reported: MorningStar’s development suit against York Co. could end before trial ~ by Anna Douglas.
FORT MILL — A nearly 18-month legal fight between York County and Fort Mill’s MorningStar Ministries could come to an end this month, if a judge grants the county’s request for a ruling before the case moves to trial.
York County has asked Master-in-Equity Judge Jack Kimball to dismiss MorningStar’s claim that county officials botched a development deal in 2010.
The 2008 development agreement was struck to allow for the renovation of a 21-story tower on MorningStar’s property near Starlight Drive and Regent Parkway.
The tower was built as a hotel in televangelist Jim and Tammy Faye Bakker’s Heritage USA, a Christian-themed resort and park. The Bakkers, best known for their televised “PTL Club,” abandoned development plans in the 1990s. MorningStar – a Christian ministry founded in 1985 by Rick Joyner – bought the property in 2004.
In court documents, York County claims that the unfinished tower is a “nuisance” and “its progressively deteriorating shell … has dominated the Fort Mill skyline for a generation.”
County officials say they want the tower to be torn down. The church estimates the building is worth $10 million. York County wants MorningStar to pay for demolition costs.
MorningStar sued the county in January 2013, alleging that the county didn’t properly approve site plans for the tower that would have moved development forward.
Without that approval, MorningStar contends, it couldn’t secure quotes for construction work. Without contractors’ estimates, the church says, it couldn’t deliver on the county’s demand for financial information and proof of their ability to pay for the development.
York County argues that it approved the church’s site plan on Aug. 24, 2009. MorningStar failed to provide proof of financing for the project within 180 days, which is required in the development agreement, according to the county’s court filings.
MorningStar alleges that York County never sent Joyner, MorningStar’s executive director and senior pastor at MorningStar Fellowship Church, a notice of the approved site plan or confirmation of approval. The church didn’t know, according to its court filings, that the plans were approved and that the clock was ticking for it to provide the required financial information.
Before MorningStar sued, county officials had claimed that the church was in default on the development agreement.
Now the church claims York County orchestrated MorningStar’s failure to comply with the 180-day requirement. The move was intended, MorningStar contends in court documents, to “move the tower project inexorably toward failure and demolition.”
On Tuesday, Rock Hill attorney Dan Ballou, who is helping represent the county in the suit, said he couldn’t comment on the case.
There have been two hearings on York County’s motion for summary judgment. Kimball’s decision on the motion, Ballou said, could “come any day now.”
Efforts to reach MorningStar officials and their attorney were unsuccessful Tuesday.

On the 9th, the Jim Bakker Show posted the following alert concerning Israel:

Hamas Declares All Israelis To Be Legitimate Targets
Zechariah 12:3 “And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it.”
Editor’s Note: Jim Bakker teaches to watch Israel closely because it is the prophetic time-clock for the unfolding of Last Days events. In Matthew 24, Israel is the fig tree that the Lord told His people to observe to understand the times. It is like a barometer of what is happening in the nations.

On the 11th, we received an e-mail from the Jim Bakker Show announcing that Morningside Ministries is expanding its outreach by launching a new TV network named Generation Now Network. Jim Bakker wrote the following in his message:
We’re Now on Roku!
“I am absolutely amazed to announce that our Roku channel for the Generation Now Network has been officially approved. We are NOW LIVE on Roku!
It is truly humbling to see the quick work God is doing here at Morningside. This is an incredible victory that can be shared by all! The Lord gave me a Word just before the new year declaring that 2014 would be the Year of Fulfilled Prophecies! Launching this network today is a fulfillment of prophecies that began years ago, coming through various prophets. Wow!
Standing firm alongside Morningside’s flagship, The Jim Bakker Show, is the Generation NOW Show, the premiere television show for our media training school, Morningside Master’s Media. These two shows will soon be joined by several new shows in development at Morningside, The Kevin Shorey Show, The Zach Drew Show and of course the highly anticipated Spanish Show featuring Mondo De La Vega, all of which will be airing soon on our Roku channel. We will also be adding programs in the coming weeks with Cindy Jacobs, Rick Joyner and many others.
I am incredibly amazed at what God has done and thrilled to be a part of the Morningside Family. I cannot wait to see what God will do here at Morningside and with the Generation Now Network!
Those of you who have Roku can search for “Generation Now” or even “Jim Bakker” on the Roku store and download the channel. Or you can add our channel from Roku’s website. Our partners and viewers can watch the Morningside 24/7 Live Stream with just the push of a button, including On Demand episodes The Jim Bakker Show and Generation NOW along with a few fun extras. These will be updated DAILY!
Our partners who once had Sky Angel IPTV now have a fresh alternative and can once again see us worldwide no matter where they are!
Again, I am tremendously excited and I cannot wait to see what God does next.
I love you all! JIM”
The Towers: On the 16, Rick Joyner posted the following message on his facebook page updating the status of the Towers.
“Good News! York County’s motion to have our case for completing the tower dismissed was denied by the judge. We now move to the next stage, a full trial. We’re sorry that we had to “appeal to Caesar” in the first place but had no other choice.
We still have a big fight, and we don’t intend to quit until the Towers is completed, but it is a big encouragement to win the first round.”
After 27 years there has been no progress made on finishing the Towers no matter who has owned the property. However, the situation is very different now because of the hundreds of homes that have been built on the grounds in the past decade. Residents living on the grounds as well as people in the immediate area want the Towers either finished or taken down because it has become an eyesore for many. MorningStar Ministries does intend to finish the building as soon as possible. Now it is up to a jury to decide the Towers’ fate in the fall. Praying that there will be a settlement once and for all as this situation has caused much division among the people who live here. God’s will be done…
Our local paper, The Herald, reported on the 19th:
“Judge not ready to rule fully on lawsuit – MorningStar, York County in dispute over hotel ~ By Anna Douglas www.heraldonline.com
It’s unclear whether York County or MorningStar Ministries broke their contractual obligations to one another pertaining to a development agreement signed nearly six years ago to repair a 21-story hotel building in Fort Mill, a county judge said this week.
MorningStar sued York County for breach of contract nearly 18 months ago after county officials wrote the church a letter saying the church had defaulted on the agreement by failing to provide financial information about the development project. In June, the county asked Master-in-Equity Judge Jack Kimball to dismiss the church’s claims.
Kimball ruled on Thursday partly against the county’s motion for a summary judgment in the suit.
In its lawsuit, the church contends that York County failed to fulfill its obligations under the development agreement and that county officials botched the tower renovations project.
The County argues that MorningStar should have, under the contract, provided proof of its ability to pay for the re-development of the hotel tower. The development agreement calls for MorningStar to provide that documentation soon after county officials approve the church’s site plan for the tower renovation.
County officials have provided proof in court filings that they approved the site plan in 2009 but MorningStar claims that they were not properly notified of the approval. Church officials argue that they didn’t realize their deadline to provide financial information had passed, until it was too late and York County had notified them of defaulting on the agreement.
In 2009, the county sent the site approval documentation to MorningStar’s project engineer. The church claims the paperwork should have been mailed instead to Rick Joyner, MorningStar Fellowship Church’s president.
Kimball wrote in an order on Thursday that York County may have met its obligation by notifying MorningStar’s project engineer. It’s clear, he said, that the engineer was “designated as (MorningStar’s) representative and agent for dealing with the county…and that part of (his) duties included dealing with the county on all aspects of approval of the site plan.”
But, Kimball said, he could not rule in summary judgment until more facts are presented. He agreed with the county on one part of its summary judgment motion. Kimball dismissed MorningStar’s claim that the county breached “an implied covenant of good faith and fair dealing.”
In South Carolina, he said, “breach of the covenant of good faith and fair dealing” is not recognized as a separate legal claim in a lawsuit.
The county and the church struck the development deal after some failed renovation projects and years of waiting for the tower to be torn down. In court filings, county officials described the building as a “nuisance” that “has dominated the Fort Mill skyline for a generation.”
MorningStar bought the building and surrounding 52 acres in 2004 for $1.6 million. The church’s most recent financial information available values the tower at $10 million.
The unfinished hotel tower, near Regent Park in Fort Mill, was partially built in 1986 for televangelists Jim & Tammy Faye Bakker’s Heritage USA, a Christian-themed resort and park. The Bakkers, best known for their televised “PTL Club” abandoned development plans in the 1990s after declaring bankruptcy.”
Special Video of Jim Bakker Touring the Towers: During MorningStar’s 2007 New Year’s Conference, Jim Bakker returned to ‘Heritage USA’ for the Spiritual Grand Re-Opening of ‘Heritage International,’ which is the new name MorningStar gave the PTL ministry.
On this particular visit, Pastor Jim toured the Towers explaining just how close the building was to completion when he left in March of 1987. Thankfully, the entire tour was videotaped by MorningStar Ministries. It is riveting to see Jim Bakker walk through the building that he designed and was not allowed to finish. Rev. Jerry Falwell, the minister that Jim Bakker let temporarily take over PTL in March of ’87, made a decision to ban Jim & Tammy Faye from ever returning to Heritage USA in April of that same year.
Below is the dramatic video MorningStar Ministries produced showing Jim Bakker touring the Towers on January 2, 2008.
On Tuesday evening the 22nd, from 6 to 10pm, the Antioch International Church celebrated the ‘Grand Opening’ of the River Tree Café in the lobby of the TV Studio. From free coffee and cake to internet access and childcare, this new endeavor turned out to be a huge hit! People gathered together and enjoyed a night of sharing with old friends and making new ones. The gathering was a complete success as the whole lobby was filled to capacity with people from the neighborhood and surrounding churches as well as members of Antioch. At the end of the month, Rabbi Jonathan Cahn, author of the best-selling book The Harbinger, was once again a guest on the Jim Bakker Show. Rabbi Cahn spoke about the unprecedented acceleration of world events that indicates we are truly living in biblical times. The belief Rabbi Cahn has for America is that at the same time the world is in crisis, the church will come into its finest hour. There will be a great harvest of souls alongside of the perilous times. These informative shows will air in early August.

And the Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness. For example, we don’t know what God wants us to pray for. But the Holy Spirit prays for us with groanings that cannot be expressed in words. And the Father who knows all hearts knows what the Spirit is saying, for the Spirit pleads for us believers in harmony with God’s own will. Romans 8:26-27 NLT
On Sunday morning the 3rd, after their annual month-long sabbatical, MorningStar Ministries opened its doors to welcome hundreds of returning church goers and visitors. This is MorningStar Ministries’ tenth year at Heritage since moving from their former location on Presley Road in Charlotte, North Carolina in 2004.

First Sunday service after Sabbatical, “It is good to be in the house of the Lord!”
Pastor Rick Joyner gave the opening-day message to an obviously enthusiastic crowd by first sharing some of his vacation adventures, which included an unexpected car problem that brought about his decision to journey hundreds of miles by motorcycle to meet his family who had gone on ahead to their vacation destination. Sharing parts of his lengthy trip, he told of some inspiring moments while cycling down the highways and byways of the south.
He described how he felt like the Lord was riding with him giving him a peace filled ride even when encountering a few thunderstorms that simply cooled him off. Deciding to travel off the beaten path during this incredible journey, Pastor Rick discovered how remarkably beautiful the deep south’s landscape actually is while realizing how important it is to take a total break from work and spend time alone with the Lord. On the whole, the congregation enjoyed hearing about a more private side of their pastor’s life.
Rick Joyner then went into his main message talking about the laws of Thermodynamics and how it explains almost every chaotic situation happening right now in the world. He in fact wrote about this subject in MorningStar’s Prophetic Bulletin #87.
Below is a portion from his July 16th writings:
The Second Law of Thermodynamics and Bedlam On The Border ~ Rick Joyner
“What could the Second Law of Thermodynamics possibly have to do with the chaos on the U.S./Mexican border? It explains almost everything. The Second Law of Thermodynamics is also called “The Law of Entropy.” This deals with energy, but also the principle that everything in nature trends toward disorder, unless acted on by an outside, intelligent source. Basically this explains why your house, car, body, and everything else will break down if not intelligently built and maintained. If you want to prove this law, just leave your yard alone one summer. Your nice carpet of grass will quickly turn into weeds and other brambles.
So what does this have to do with the border?
Any organization that does not have wise, intelligent, proactive management will trend toward chaos. This includes companies, governments, the military, schools, churches, and ministries. If anything is just left to its own it will begin to disintegrate. Our national government is unraveling because of a lack of leadership and management. Most of the crises that are cascading down upon our country are the result of this vacuum.
Of course, biologists will likely be the last to admit this, but this law also proves that there was intelligent design. Everything in nature is moving toward disorder unless acted upon by intelligent design. Nowhere in nature has there been found anything moving toward order, which includes coming together in the incredible order required to compose a single living cell.
If someone is inclined to think we have this incredible order in nature, it is because the Holy Spirit moved upon the chaos as we are told in Genesis. Without Him moving as He did, we would still have a planet in chaos like the rest of the planets. The odds of anything in nature coming together in even a basic order by random chance is too great to compute, and the fact is there is not a single observed example of it.
Now back to the border. In Scripture, this is a very important issue, and to change or remove boundaries was a great offense. As Isaiah prophesied concerning the boast of the wicked King of Assyria in Isaiah 10:13:
‘By the strength of my hand I have done this, and by my wisdom, because I have understanding. I removed the boundaries of nations, I plundered their treasures’ (NIV).
The intent of the removal of boundaries is almost always for the purpose of plundering the nation whose boundaries are violated. It is also the plundering of the treasures of America that are doing this to us and who are letting it be done…

The Upper Room: Recently, Russell James was given the original construction plans and artist’s drawings for the Upper Room. The drawings were then framed and hung in the downstairs lobby for all to see. The Upper Room was dedicated on July 4th 1982 by Jim Bakker and has since remained standing despite its falling into major disrepair more than once. Plus, there were plans to tear the building down in 2010 if it was not purchased. Thankfully, Russell James bought it in November of that year. Without a doubt, the Upper Room is an ‘against all odds’ demonstration of God’s preserving power that to this day overcomes all obstacles.
Below are the original drawings for the Upper Room drawn up in 1981.
Note: Because of a recent rainstorm, the continuing leakage problem in the roof of the building once again damaged the ceiling and walls in the upper chamber.
Russell is getting estimates from different roofing companies to fix this ongoing problem once and for all by replacing the entire roof. The cost is very high.
Please pray about giving an offering to help fix this menacing problem. Contact the Upper Room Chapel at: www.upperroomchapel.com to make a contribution. Or mail a donation to The Upper Room Chapel at 8409 Regent Parkway, Fort Mill, SC 29715, Attention Russell James.

Update on Jim Bakker’s newly launched Generation Now Network: Jim Bakker reported last month that the Generation Now Network (GNN) channel has been officially approved and they are now on Roku! Pastor Jim is lining up several programs for Morningside’s new network, which is geared to reaching the youth of this generation. Pastor Jim recently wrote:
“Standing firm alongside Morningside’s flagship, The Jim Bakker Show, is the Generation NOW Show, the premiere television show for our media training school, Morningside Master’s Media. These two shows will soon be joined by several new shows in development at Morningside, The Kevin Shorey Show, The Zach Drew Show and of course the highly anticipated Spanish Show featuring Mondo De La Vega, all of which will be airing soon on our Roku channel. We will also be adding programs in the coming weeks with Cindy Jacobs, Rick Joyner and many others.”
If you do not have Roku, you can find out when the Generation Now Show will be airing on TV by clicking on the “Schedule” tab on their website at: http://gennow.tv/
Among the new programs that soon will be aired on the GNN channel is The Ramp, a ministry for today’s youth which was started by Karen Wheaton, one of the great Christian soloists of our day. Pastor Jim is giving Karen’s TV program ‘The Ramp’ free air time because she was discovered by him when she was attending school at the Heritage School of Evangelism in 1978.
Below is a short video of Karen Wheaton’s testimony telling how she got her start in ministry through the PTL Show when she was just seventeen years old. This video is from her recent appearance on the new Jim Bakker Show. The entire broadcast can be seen in the ‘Video on Demand’ section, Show #2519, on Jim Bakker’s website at: www.jimbakkershow.com.
Among the upcoming guests appearing in September on the Jim Bakker Show will be Pastor Mark Biltz, the man who first discovered the connection of blood moons to the Jewish Feasts. Jim Bakker is bringing the prophetic voices of today to his program in order to help people understand the times and seasons we are living in.
Check out the complete guest list at: www.jimbakkershow.com.
Last month Bill Koenig, White House Correspondent and author of Eye to Eye, was a guest on the Jim Bakker Show. Bill Koenig also lives in Israel for three to four months out of the year and has just returned from there where he witnessed the conflict between Hamas and Israel first-hand. His expert understanding about what is happening in the Middle East is published twice a week in the Koenig Report which can be accessed at: www.watch.org.
The last time Bill Koenig was a guest on the Jim Bakker Show he talked about the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas, explaining how it ties directly into where we are on God’s calendar.
Below is a short video from his visit to Morningside Ministries.
A look back ~ Recently, Mark Shannon, Moderator of the popular Remembering PTL & Heritage USA facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/PTL.Heritage reported: “Please be in prayer for former PTL musical talent Bob Johnson, his wife Jeanne and their daughter Sonja and family. We have just learned that Bob suffered a moderate stroke and will be in a hospital/treatment center for several months. Bob is alert and doing well but has a long journey ahead. Thank you for keeping Bob and his family in your prayers.”
Below is a video of Bob and Jeanne singing Oh It Is Jesus at Heritage USA from back in the day. A remarkable couple to say the least!

On the 27th, MorningStar Ministries reported: “URGENT PRAYER NEED” Bart Peacher is a part of the MorningStar pastoral team, and oversees our Moravian Falls retreat center. He received this urgent prayer request today.
Dear Friends: Just a few minutes ago I received the following text message on my phone from Sean Malone who leads Crisis Relief International(CRI). We then spoke briefly on the phone and I assured him that we would share this urgent prayer need with all of our contacts. “We lost the city of Queragosh (Qaraqosh). It fell to ISIS and they are beheading children systematically.”

Then the Lord said to me, “Write my answer plainly on tablets, so that a runner can carry the correct message to others. This vision is for a future time. It describes the end, and it will be fulfilled. If it seems slow in coming, wait patiently, for it will surely take place. It will not be delayed. Look at the proud! They trust in themselves, and their lives are crooked. But the righteous will live by their faithfulness to God.” Habakkuk 2:2-4 NLT
On the 1st, the Upper Room hosted a Labor Day ‘Motorcycle Rest Stop’ from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. that included free coffee and donuts and other refreshments to anyone who stopped by. This community outreach was held in the parking lot and attracted several visitors who were warmly welcomed by Russell James. It was an enjoyable time of meeting new people from the area as well as catching up with old friends.
There was another Volunteer Work Week at the Upper Room during the first week of the month to maintain the overall appearance of the grounds. It is remarkable how just a few people giving of their time and talent can make such a big difference to the landscape.

Maintenance work in progress
During the month, Russell posted the following message on Facebook about the ongoing problem with the leakage in the roof:
Update on Roof ~ We still have several leaks. Each time it rains the volunteers rush over to put buckets out to catch the drips. We have had four contractors come over to look at the roof and give us prices to replace it. Their bids are $44,685, $16,000, $11,000 and $10,000. We think the best offer, for the product, is the $11,000 bid. To date we have received $4,216 towards this project. When all the funds are received we will start the project. Please pray that the needed funds will arrive very soon. God bless you and please keep the Upper Room in your daily prayers.
Upcoming Events at the Upper Room:
1. From October 3rd at 8 p.m. until October 4th at 8 p.m. the Upper Room will be open for 24 hours to pray for the nation of Israel. Everyone is invited to this prayer vigil and can spend as much time as they wish praying for “the peace of Jerusalem.”
2. The 4th anniversary of the Upper Room’s reopening will be held on Saturday, November 29th at 1 p.m. with refreshments to follow in the downstairs level. Russell James will be there to give an update of the past year and speak about future plans.
3. Exciting News! The Upper Room has installed high-definition fiber optics and is now able to ‘live stream’ 24 hours a day! Their first ‘live streamed’ event was A Call to Worship Service held on September 27th.

Antioch Church: A Bible Study is held Wednesday nights at 7:00 p.m. in the Barn Auditorium by Pastor Peter Wyns who is currently finishing up a study on the Book of Revelation. It is surreal to sit in the Barn and see people being ministered to after decades of uncertainty about the building’s future. Some of the younger members of the church, who were not yet born when PTL collapsed in 1987, do not know about the incredible history of miracles surrounding the Barn’s restoration. We who lived through watching the Barn Auditorium Complex fall into great disrepair and at the point of being bulldozed down, should pass on this miraculous story of how the Lord fully restored the complex when most deemed it to be irreparable.

MorningStar Ministries: This year MorningStar’s annual fall conference is called the Harvest Summit and it will be held in the Heritage Grand from October 16th – 18th.
For further information or to sign up for this event click link: Harvest Summit
Rick Joyner wrote the following about this year’s conference:
Harvest Summit 2014
“This will not just be a conference, but a summit of those who are resolved to fulfill their purpose in these times.” ~ Rick Joyner
SPECIAL NOTE FROM RICK: Almost thirty years ago, I was given one of the greatest visions of my life in a two and a half day prophetic experience. It was about the harvest that is the end of this age. Since then, preparing the body of Christ for this coming harvest has been a main focus of my life. Our first MorningStar conference was a Harvest Conference. We later changed the name to Harvest Fest as it was to be a celebration. In these annual gatherings, we have had spectacular visitations of the Lord. This year I was told that we are to have a Harvest Summit because many would be coming who are called to be leaders in the last and greatest move of God of all time—the harvest that is the end of the age. If this purpose burns within you, please consider joining us at Heritage this coming October 16-18.
During the month, the following program from MorningStar’s Prophetic Prospective Internet TV program was posted on U-tube. It concerns “ISIS Coming to America.” MorningStar’s Internet TV programs can be seen at: www.morningstarministries.org.
During the month on the Jim Bakker Show, John Shorey, Assemblies of God Pastor and Author of THE WINDOW OF THE LORD’S RETURN 2012–2020, was once again a show guest. Recently, he brought with him a prophetic book titled Racing Toward Judgment, which was written 38 years ago by the late Pastor David Wilkerson of the Times Square Church in New York City. At the time of this book’s release, Pastor Wilkerson was rejected for his prophetic message by the mainstream churches, but the message in the book has a number of chilling accuracies which are actually coming to pass.
Below is Part 1 in a series of articles written by Jim Bakker about John Shorey and David Wilkerson’s revelations.
The Imminent Judgment of God (Pt. 1)
By Jim Bakker
So much is happening in our world. The reason we bring news into our show is because it’s the Revelation fulfillment – it’s the fulfillment of the entire book of Revelation and the signs of the End of the Age in Matthew 24.
It’s amazing that all of the prophetic word is being fulfilled – the droughts, the slaughtering of Christians. This ISIS is killing Christians – Jesus said before I come back, they will hate you and put you to death because of my name (Matthew 24:9). I never thought in the United States of America that people would hate Christians, but it is an antichrist spirit, and anti-Word spirit. You can get a comic book into schools but not a Bible! In the news recently, there was a 5th grader that was banned from reading the Bible during ‘free reading’ time! And a teacher was punished and banned from bringing her Bible to school. She wasn’t reading it to the class; she was just reading it for her own devotional! She could have a pornographic book, or x-rated material sitting on her desk, and she could get by with that. And during this last season, a professor specifically told his students that you cannot thank God during your graduation speech.
We talk about Matthew 24 and the scriptures about the Last Days, but we need to understand that we’re living in it right now, today – it’s happening! So when we turn on the news and we see these Christians being killed for Jesus’ namesake – these are human beings just like you and me and they are standing up for His namesake. Think about yourself – think about if they came to your house – took your belongings – burned your house down – and drove you out.
We’re still living in ‘happy church’ time and thinking about how to get more money. We are preaching the love of money and it’s “another gospel!” And, America has turned to another gospel – we saw the headline last week where preachers, although they know the Bible, are afraid to preach it because it’s not politically correct! The news headlines said, “Study Reveals Most American Pastors Silent on Current Issues Despite Biblical Beliefs.” The article read, “Yes, the Bible speaks to every one of these issues,” Then we ask them: “Well, are you teaching your people what the Bible says about those issues?” and the numbers drop to less than 10 percent of pastors who say they will speak to it.” We are at the time where the Bible says in Amos 8:11, “I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the Lord:” and every Christian is going to have to be a purveyor of the Word.
Everything that’s happening just solidifies what I believe God has been talking to me about. God spoke to me to build a network for the unknown prophets – the prophets from where? From the deserts, and the valleys, and the hills – He said, they’re not known. The Word says in 2 Chronicles 16:9, “For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him.”
I believe my friend, John Shorey, is one such prophet from the desert who has been appointed for these times. He is bringing us a word from God that has been revealed through study and through the prophecies of David Wilkerson, whom the Lord has called home. One stunning prophetic word came from David Wilkerson’s book, Racing Toward Judgment (published in 1976 – 38 years ago) says, “I believe God is going to judge this nation with three instruments of destruction. They are earthquakes, droughts, and financial disasters.”
God even gave John a vivid dream about these earthquakes which he has shared on our broadcasts. We are experiencing a terrible drought in California right now and that is where a large percentage of this nation’s produce is grown! The book goes on to say, “God’s most used, most powerful, most feared instrument of judgment has been, and always will be, drought and famine – the destruction of crops, the halting of harvest.” He goes on to say that drought and famine does more damage than invading armies.
Drought is even proven to be a factor in triggering earthquakes, according to recent news articles. This is the third year of drought in California and the streams and rivers and lakes are drying up, and even the aquifers underground are being pumped out at a rate that is unsustainable!

Another repeat guest on the Jim Bakker Show this month was Pastor Mark Biltz, Author of the best-seller book titled Blood Moons. These programs aired in mid September and can be watched in the Video on Demand section of Morningside’s website at: www.jimbakkershow.com.
On this particular visit, Pastor Biltz talked about the Shemitah year that we entered into on September 24th and will end September 13, 2015. Mark Biltz truly believes that next September, at the end of this Shemitah year, the world will enter into the time of the Great Tribulation!
Click below to watch a video from Pastor Biltz’s visit to the Jim Bakker Show:
What Pastor Biltz discovered is that in the last five-hundred years there has only been three times that four consecutive Blood Moons appeared in a two-year period. Ironically, startling historic events concerning Israel occurred on or around these lunar eclipses. When further researching this information, he learned that this rare pattern of Blood Moons appeared in conjunction with the Jewish holy days of Passover and the Feast of Tabernacles.
The first set of four consecutive blood moons in the past 500 years appearing on the holy days of Passover and the Feast of Tabernacles were in 1493-1494 around the Spanish Inquisition.
The third set of four blood moons that appeared on Passover and the Feast of Tabernacles were recorded by NASA as occurring in 1967-1968 when the Six Day War against Israel took place. Israel not only won the war in six days, but against all odds recaptured Jerusalem for the first time in 2000 years.
The following dates are when the next set of four blood moons will appear in a two-year period on the Jewish Holy Days of Passover and Feast of Tabernacles:
- April 15, 2014 at Passover
(This is around the time that the conflict between Israel and Hamas began.) - October 8, 2014 at the Feast of Tabernacles
- April 4th, 2015 at Passover
- September 28, 2015 at the Feast of Tabernacles
There will also be a total solar eclipse on March 15, 2015, which falls in the middle of the appearing of the Blood Moons and fits exactly into the pattern of Tetrads (Tetrads is the name given by NASA to this rare phenomena). According to Mark Biltz, a solar eclipse relates to major events happening in other nations other than Israel.
Note: NASA (National Aeronautics Space Agency) has officially named the red colored moons Blood Moons. Throughout history Blood Moons have appeared during a total lunar eclipse, which is what causes the moon to appear red.

The Rapture Argument:
As Jim Bakker brings more prophetic voices on his program with amazing prophetic understanding of the times we are in, the question of when the Rapture of the church will take place comes to the forefront. Understanding the division this question causes, Pastor Jim decided long ago not to debate the subject and allows each guest to express their opinion.
He refuses to publicly argue over the question of, “Will the Rapture of the church take place before, after or in the middle of the seven year Tribulation?” because Pre, Post, and Mid-Tribulation arguments have been going on for centuries. Fully understanding this dilemma, Pastor Jim states his views and asks viewers to study the Bible for themselves.
Jim Bakker was a Pre-Tribulation believer himself until he finished a five-year exhaustive study of the Book of Revelation, taking each word back to the language it was originally written in, which turned him into a mid-tribulation believer. His 28 hours of teachings on The Book of Revelation and his latest book Time Has Come are eye-openers that may help people to better understand this controversial subject.
There isn’t a single person or denomination that has a total understanding of the end time scenario, and Jim Bakker is the first one to admit this. However, he has found ‘common ground’ with his guests from almost every denomination in the fact that they agree we are living in the times Jesus spoke of in Matthew 24 concerning the signs preceding His return.
The main thing is to understand that there will be a Rapture of the church as the Apostle Paul wrote in 1 Thessalonians 4:15-18: KJV
For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the Archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be CAUGHT UP together in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words.
We should try to respect each other’s views on the subject of when the Rapture will happen and study the Bible, always seeking the Lord about the matter. The ease with which some people can dive into arguments over exactly when or how the Lord will return becomes a weapon of division for the enemies of the Gospel. Jim Bakker longs for the day when church leaders would at least agree to reason together like the Bereans did when Paul and Silas were preaching in the early church.
The Bible says in Acts 17:10-11 “That same night the believers sent Paul and Silas to Berea where they went to the Synagogue. These people were more willing to listen than the people in Thessalonica. The Bereans were eager to hear what Paul & Silas said and studied the Scriptures every day to find out if these things were true.” NCV
Whether Christians believe in a Pre, Post or Mid-Tribulation Rapture, if we do not recognize that we are actually living in the end times then we are completely at odds with the realities found in Matthew 24 that are right now coming to pass.
The following is a segment from Jim Bakker’s 28-hour teaching on the Book of Revelation where he reveals why he believes in a mid-tribulation Rapture. The entire DVD collection from his in-depth teaching can be purchased from the Jim Bakker Show at: www.jimbakkershow.com

As the fall season arrives and cooler temperatures cause us to put on warmer clothing, the landscape on the grounds is changing into a captivating display of brilliant colors. Starting at Heritage USA’s old entrance, multiple shades of crimson and gold-toned foliage along the tree-lined roadways remind us that another year is soon coming to an end. It also reminds us that the Lord himself has predestined seasons for everything in life.
The Bible tells us in Ecclesiastes 3:1-8:
For everything there is a season,
a time for every activity under heaven.
A time to be born and a time to die.
A time to plant and a time to harvest.
A time to kill and a time to heal.
A time to tear down and a time to build up.
A time to cry and a time to laugh.
A time to grieve and a time to dance.
A time to scatter stones and a time to gather stones.
A time to embrace and a time to turn away.
A time to search and a time to quit searching.
A time to keep and a time to throw away.
A time to tear and a time to mend.
A time to be quiet and a time to speak.
A time to love and a time to hate.
A time for war and a time for peace.

The forming of the blood moon over Heritage.
On the 8th, from approximately 5 a.m. until 7:15 a.m., several people from the area parked around the Heritage Grand Hotel and other places on the grounds to catch a glimpse at the forming of the second Blood Moon of this year. Blood Moons are gaining more and more interest as their appearances are part of a rare biblical cycle of four consecutive Blood Moons appearing in a two year period during the Jewish Holy Days of Passover and the Feast of Tabernacles.
Named Tetrads by NASA, the National Aeronautics Space Agency, Pastor Mark Biltz and Pastor John Hagee are among the pastors and Bible teachers who have written about the meaning of a cycle of four red-colored moons within a two year period. History has proven that this event is directly related to world events, especially to the state of Israel.
Pastor Mark Biltz, the man who first discovered the connection of Tetrads to the Jewish Holy Days, has written a new book titled Blood Moons and he also gives a detailed explanation of this phenomenon from his church El Shaddai Ministries in Tacoma, Washington where he pastors.
The website for El Shaddai Ministries is: http://www.elshaddaiministries.us
Note: Newsweek did a report on the second of the four Blood Moons, which is an event that will not happen again for another 600 years.

On the 12th, The Remembering PTL and Heritage USA Facebook page moderated by Mark Shannon (http://www.facebook.com/PTL.Heritage) posted the following message:
“It is with deep sadness that we learn of the passing of Bob Johnson early this Sunday morning. As many of you know Bob recently suffered a stroke and had been in a rehabilitation center.”
The following was posted by former PTL singer Ron Aldridge:
‘I received the following text this morning (October 12) from Jeanne Johnson:
‘Bob’s in glory this morning. He passed at 5:24 very peacefully and no pain, an answer to our prayer. God is good!’
For you who didn’t know, while recovering from his stroke and working on his rehab Bob was diagnosed with very advanced cancer. Jeanne asked that I send her thanks to everyone.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to his wife Jeanne, their daughter Sonja and Sonja’s husband Heath and their families during this difficult time. Additional information will be posted as we know it.”
Legendary Bob Johnson loved the Lord and lived his entire life with a true servant’s heart.
The below video of Bob and Jeanne Johnson is from early 2013 in the Upper Room when Jim Bakker visited Heritage USA and filmed programs that brought many of PTL’s personalities together for the first time since 1987.
From the 16th – 18th MorningStar’s annual fall conference named this year as the Harvest Summit was held in the Heritage Grand. Last month, Rick Joyner wrote the following about attending this extraordinary conference:
“Almost thirty years ago, I was given one of the greatest visions of my life in a two and a half day prophetic experience.
If this purpose burns within you, please consider joining us at Heritage this coming October 16-18.”
The Harvest Summit of 2014 turned out to be one of the most intense conferences MorningStar Ministries has ever hosted. Hundreds of people came from all over the world to join with those who are like-minded and passionate to see another Great Awakening in our land.
Guest speakers and worship artists included Sid Roth, Rick Joyner, Robyn McMillan, Leonard Jones, Don Potter and a host of others. A breakthrough of new life and renewed hope infused the atmosphere the entire weekend. During the night services, the conference was ‘live streamed’ so that everyone was able to be part of the services. It is not an overstatement that we all need the Lord’s perspective in the times ahead; one way to gain God’s point of view is by seeking His face. His presence will carry us through the coming days.
The entire conference can be purchased on DVD at: www.morningstarministries.org.
In the following featured MorningStar Worship Video from a few years ago, Don Potter sings his classic song, “Show Me Your Face” which he sang at this year’s Harvest Summit.
During the conference, Rick Joyner spoke on the two most important signs that would mark the end of the age. The following article written by him is from this month’s Word of the Week #42 detailing these signs.
These weekly articles can be found at: www.morningstarministries.org.
The Two Most Important Signs – The Great Commission
“Most of the signs that the Lord and the early church apostles said would mark the end of this age have either come to pass or are unfolding now. However, two of the most important signs appear to be very far from being accomplished: the grafting back in of the “natural branches,” the Jewish people, and the church coming into her fullness as a bride without spot or wrinkle.
Most of the things that are prophesied for the end of this age we do not have much to do with. We expect them and, as we can, prepare for them, but we cannot do much about them. However, as for the fullness of the Jewish people and the maturity of the body of Christ, we can do much. We must have a devotion to them if we are going to fulfill our purpose.
Concerning restored Israel, we are told that every nation on earth will turn against her and that the Jewish people will be driven back to their homeland from every nation on earth. About the church, we are told that Christians will be hated and persecuted in every nation. Therefore, the church, the “holy nation,” and Israel will be in the same “boat” at the end. This is actually where the word “fellowship” came from: two fellows in a ship. The implication is that if there are just two of them in the boat, then they will have to work together to get anywhere. This will ultimately happen with Israel and the church, and it will help bring about “the one new man,” the unity between them that is prophesied in Ephesians.
As we have covered, to understand these times we must devote much more attention to what the Lord is doing than to what the devil is doing. In fact, all that the devil does will ultimately help what the Lord is doing. The two main things that the Lord is doing are: building His church that is to rule with Him in the age to come and restoring Israel to her full purpose.
In this study, we have just begun to lay a foundation of what we will see unfolding for the building up of the body of Christ, and we have much more to cover. We also need to lay a foundational understanding of what God is doing with Israel, so we can be in harmony with Him in this as well. In fact, being a part of this purpose is one of the factors that will help mature the church into what she is called to be.
As with all of the important purposes of God and important truths, there are extremes in every possible direction around them. We will briefly address some of these to help us to avoid them, but we will mostly address the clear, biblical teachings on the church and Israel in the last days. This is a profound revelation of the whole purpose of God in redemption, reconciliation, and restoration that will be practically demonstrated to the world. It is very exciting to see this unfolding now.
For almost a thousand years, the Jewish people have been under constant threat of extermination by the most powerful forces on earth. What happened to them under Nazi Germany was the most recent attempt to destroy this remarkable people. Why is the devil so intent on their destruction? To answer this question is to understand some of the ultimate issues of our times. How have they survived? To understand that is one of the most important lessons we must understand to navigate through what is now unfolding.”
On the 31st, MorningStar Ministries held their annual “Admission Free” Fall Festival in the front of the Heritage Grand from 5:30 – 8:30 p.m. This special yearly event welcomes every person and family living in the area to an enjoyable night of fun. MorningStar provided the games, rides, live music and fabulous food! It is one of the friendliest times at MorningStar as people from the nearby neighborhoods come together.
From October 20th – 24th, Jim & Lori Bakker hosted a ‘Ready Now Preparedness and Survivor Expo’ at Morningside Ministries in Blue Eye, Missouri. Experts on how to survive in a natural or man-made disaster, a terrorist attack or a financial collapse held seminars each day.
Prominent guest speakers and pastors were on hand to make people more aware of the times we are in and what to expect in the near future. The special guest list included Dr. William Forstchen, Pastor John Kilpatrick, Rabbi Jonathan Cahn, Pastor Mark Biltz and Pastor John Shorey.
Below is the video preview from Morningside Ministries detailing the weeklong event.

On the 3rd, the action movie Left Behind starring Nicolas Cage was shown in theaters throughout the country. Based on the Left Behind series of novels from the late 1990’s, this movie follows biblical prophecy showing what happens when the Rapture of the church takes place.
The Producers of the movie described it as follows:
“Left Behind is an apocalyptic Action-Thriller movie starring Nicolas Cage based on the New York Times bestselling novel that brings biblical prophecy to life in modern times.
The most important event in the history of mankind is happening right now. In the blink of an eye, the biblical Rapture strikes the world. Millions of people disappear without a trace. All that remains are their clothes and belongings, and in an instant, terror and chaos spread around the world. The vanishings cause unmanned vehicles to crash and burn. Planes fall from the sky. Emergency forces everywhere are devastated. Gridlock, riots and looting overrun the cities. There is no one to help or provide answers. In a moment, the entire planet is plunged into darkness.”

November/December
All of this is for your benefit. And as God’s grace reaches more and more people, there will be great thanksgiving, and God will receive more and more glory. That is why we never give up. Though our bodies are dying, our spirits are being renewed every day. For our present troubles are small and won’t last very long. Yet they produce for us a glory that vastly outweighs them and will last forever! 2 Corinthians 4:15-17 NLT
NOVEMBER
From the 5th – 7th, the Upper Room was buzzing with activity both inside and out as dozens of personnel from the movie production company 4 BM Productions arrived. The crew went straight to work transforming the building and property into a staging area to film a few scenes for the upcoming docu-drama Four Blood Moons – The Movie. After being contacted by the producers and learning that Pastor John Hagee was involved with this project, owner Russell James consented to letting the film company use the Upper Room for this thought-provoking film.

Arrival of crew to film scenes for Four Blood Moons – The Movie
Four Blood Moons-The Movie is based on Pastor John Hagee’s recent book Four Blood Moons. This timely, historically factual Christian film is scheduled for release in the spring of 2015 in 800 theaters across America.

Staging the area
History has shown there is a startling relationship between the appearance of four consecutive blood moons in a two-year cycle that fall on the Jewish Holy Days of Passover and the Feast of Tabernacles that coincide with major world events concerning the Jewish people. The world is presently experiencing another two-year cycle of four Blood Moons, which is a rare phenomenon that will not occur again for 600 years according to NASA (National Aeronautic Space Agency).
Academy Award winning Director Keith Merrill and Producer Rick Eldridge combined their talents to create a compelling docu-drama on the biblical significance of Blood Moons. This movie will concentrate on four Blood Moon appearances during the plight of the Jewish people in 1492-93 when they were exiled from Spain during the Spanish Inquisition, the restoration of the state of Israel in 1948 and the Six Day War of 1967 when Jerusalem was repatriated by the Israelis for the first time in 2000 years.

Setting up prison scene for the Spanish Inquisition and
Russell James in costume ready for his film debut as one of the Inquisitors.
The docu-drama is described by the production company as follows:
“In the movie “Four Blood Moons,” produced by Rick Eldridge and directed by the Academy Award Winner, Keith Merrill; these veteran film makers illustrate this fascinating phenomenon in a very compelling docu-drama. Cinematic recreations of historical events from the United States, Israel and throughout the Middle East; along with expert testimonials from scientists, historians and religious scholars, are used to illustrate this story told in narrative format by a celebrity host.”

Below is an inspiring letter Pastor Jim wrote while visiting the Holy Land:
“You’ve probably heard me say that when I am in Israel, I never want to leave. It’s hard to explain that feeling, but I know others who love Jesus and come to Israel feel that way too. I love Israel because Jesus loves Israel, and I love Jesus! When Jesus is in you, you can’t help but feel as He feels!
I always feel at home in Israel. When you come over the top of the mountains and see the city of Jerusalem before you, it’s magnificent and unforgettable, more so than any other city of the world. But, as Jesus looked out over the city, he wept because of what would happen to Jerusalem and its people in the future. Luke 19:41
In 1967 Israel repatriated Jerusalem and made it whole again. Though it is still fought over constantly, and we hear about it every day in the news, it doesn’t change the fact of how Jesus feels about it – Jerusalem is an eternal, everlasting city and the New Jerusalem will be our heavenly home.
The history of man has transpired on the streets of Israel and those streets still echo the truths of days gone by – truths that Jesus spoke as He walked those cobblestone streets. The very streets, the very stones, the very places like David’s brook where David picked up the round smooth stones to slay the giant, they all hold the essences of spiritual truth and the keys to mankind’s eternal future.
Spiritual truths were forever established in this land of Israel and today, it’s still truly the center of the earth. Think about it – all eyes are on this tiny little nation, and every nation of the world watches it to weigh their next move. It’s one of the smallest nations of the world, yet the strongest. Israel is the apple of God’s eye (Zechariah 2:8) and He blesses those who bless it (Genesis 12:3).
Jesus loved Jerusalem so much that it’s called the ‘eternal’ city. Even in the new millennium, Jesus calls our final place of reward “The New Jerusalem.” It’s the place where Jesus went to “prepare a place” for us. The river of living water flows from the Throne of God down through that city. Isn’t that a wonderful picture? Revelation 21 takes us there as John saw the Holy City descended from God prepared as a Bride beautifully dressed for her husband. It is God’s dwelling place that becomes our dwelling place and we will be together for eternity… in the New Jerusalem!
It doesn’t get any better than that.
When people first fall in love with Jesus, they love the Lord so much, they can’t consume the Bible enough, they can’t get enough of listening to Christian music and worship, and they can’t get enough preaching and teaching. They love to talk about Jesus and they dream about the things of God and Jesus is so close. They’re having an intimacy with Him to where He’s loving on them and they’re loving on Him and you feel so close to God. And as you’re there, reading your Bible, the Word just jumps off the pages right into your spirit and you can’t get enough of it. And you’re talking to the Lord, and tears are running down your face, your nose is running and you’re thinking, ‘Oh God, this is heaven on earth, I love you so much!’
Let’s not forget how it felt when we fell in love with Jesus – and let’s fall in love with Him again.
Let’s love the things that He loves, and pray for the peace of Jerusalem! ~ Jim”
The Jim Bakker Show began airing programs of the entire journey Pastor Jim made to Israel and to Ground Zero in New York City. In New York City, Rabbi Cahn personally showed Jim Bakker some of the sites where the Harbingers are located. The Harbingers, written about in the Rabbi’s book of the same name, come alive while walking down the sidewalks of lower Manhattan and actually seeing the stark reality of their existence.
These on-site programs filmed in Israel and New York are a witness to the Lord’s hand in every aspect of history!

Encouraging Good News! Lori Bakker has been undergoing treatments for Hepatitis C for the past six months. Lori has battled this life-threatening disease for over 30 years and is now free of any active Hepatitis C in her body. This is a huge miracle as she has been through some very difficult months while taking the strong, chemo-like medication. May the Lord keep her in good health and forever freed of this debilitating disease.
On Saturday the 29th, Russell James hosted the 4th Anniversary of the Upper Room’s reopening under his leadership. This year’s celebration was the best one ever! As people gathered together in the Upper Room, it soon became evident that there was much to celebrate.
Russell first welcomed everyone who came, along with those watching by Internet TV. Among the guests were Bishop Ron Lambright, Margo & Raphael Santos, a ministry couple who met and were married in the Upper Room this year, a beautiful missionary girl who loves the Upper Room, and some of the men and women from the Restoration Team that helped save the building from being torn down in 2002.
Russell then presented a detailed report on the Upper Room’s current status. He started by reflecting over 2014 stating, “This past year was the most frustrating year I have experienced since purchasing the Upper Room in 2010.” In his account of the things that frustrated him, Russell spoke about the Lord’s faithfulness in meeting all the needs of the ministry through the Miracle of Prayer, the Miracle of Provision and the Miracle of Stewardship, all of which he experienced this year.
Through the miracle of praying with and for people who visited or sent in their prayer requests, Russell said there were reports of physical healings, healings of relationships and financial breakthroughs. Through the miracle of provision and stewardship, he reported that despite the unexpected bills he faced during the year, they are current on all bills and the unexpected ones were miraculously paid in full and they owe no one. The total income for the year was $26,413 and the ministry spent $24,000.
With sincere, heartfelt words Russell shared how the Lord miraculously provided the funds to replace the worn out roof that for years let rain seep through into the upper chamber causing water damage to the walls, ceiling and floor. After patching the roof many times and still having to put out buckets to catch the drips of water whenever there was a rainstorm, replacing the entire roof finally became a necessity.
He contacted four companies and obtained bids for the repair work that ranged from $10,000 to $44,000. Russell chose a reliable company that came in with a bid of $11,000 to replace the whole roof.
He then revealed that he hates to raise money, hates it. But in this case he felt led to reach out for help and posted pictures of the damaged ceiling on Facebook. People immediately responded with donations. One person who visited the Upper Room and saw the need, wrote a check for a substantial amount that enabled Russell to start the project immediately!
When Russell contacted the company to have the work done, he learned that the ‘contractor grade’ roofing material was out of stock and it would not be available for six weeks. Because of the possibility that waiting that long could produce more damage to the roof, the company decided to give Russell a better grade roofing material that was in stock without charging for the upgrade! The repair work was done in less than a week, and now a beautiful new roof has permanently eliminated the leaks.
Unfortunately, water damage ruined much of the ceiling in the upstairs chamber but once again the Lord sent help. Julius Washington, one of the original team members involved in the restoration of the Upper Room in 2002-4, has volunteered his expertise to repair the walls and re-plaster the entire curved ceiling as he did ten years ago. Julius’ talent in applying plaster to the curved ceiling is like watching an artist create something of great beauty. Without a doubt this is a miracle of provision!
The next miracle Russell talked about was of stewardship. Two and a half years ago he knew the Upper Room needed to expand its walls and go on TV. Understanding the value of Christian television and that it can reach as many as five billion people through the internet, he obtained an estimate of $8,000 for cable with internet TV service. At the time, this venture was financially out of his reach without taking out a loan.
Over the past few years technological advances along with our local cable company recently installing a new fiber optic cable line that runs into a receptacle on a column under the bridge next to the Upper Room, Russell learned that he could now access Internet TV for a much lower cost. And because he represented a ministry, the cable company did not charge him to run a line from the bridge into the building!
The original $8,000 cost he would have had to pay to install internet service two years before turned into $0. Waiting on the Lord and not spending money that he did not have, caused Russell to realize he made the right decision. Plus, his monthly fee for the internet service is less than the regular price because the cable company considers the Upper Room a church. This is an amazing example of the miracle of stewardship!
Russell saved the most amazing testimony for last when he said that the seven windows in the upstairs chamber need repair work. He wants to replace all the molding around the windows with new PVC material that needs no maintenance and lasts a lifetime. The windows also need to be re-glazed, which will require them to be taken down for the repair work. He received an estimate of $700 per window, but once again the money was not available for this necessary project.
Then Russell explained that the production company making the movie Four Blood Moons – The Movie asked him how much he would charge to use the Upper Room for filming. Since the production company is involved with John Hagee Ministries, Russell decided not to charge them. As a result of his generosity, the production company said they wanted to make a donation to the Upper Room, which turned out to be enough funds to cover all the repair work for the windows!
A year that weathered a lot of frustration ended in celebration witnessing the Lord perform Miracles of Answered Prayers, Miracles of Provision and Miracles of Stewardship. This is a tremendous testimony to the Lord’s faithfulness!
God Bless Russell James, Bishop Ron Lambright and everyone involved with the ministry at the Upper Room. Click arrow to advance pictures of celebration.

DECEMBER
And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger. And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men. Luke 2:10-15 KJV

“My friends, you are about to experience a refreshing deviation from typical Church expectations. Judah Church is a break from the ordinary…in a good way. We are a CHRIST-CENTERED community of believers that is FOCUSED on PRAISE and is intensely ADVANCING the KINGDOM of God.
With over a decade and a half of ministry experience, Pastors Glenn and Emily Walters have a clear vision for a fresh, spirit-filled church that is not interested in building castles, but is instead deeply passionate about building the Kingdom of God. It can’t be explained…only experienced.”

The Shabbach Youth Conferences describes itself as, “We are an interdenominational Pentecostal retreat where young people from up and down the East Coast and Mid West come together for a high impact, spiritual weekend of worship, ministry and fun.
We seek to accomplish four goals during our conference weekend.
They are: INSPIRE, INSTRUCT, INTIMATE, INCITE
Like candle-wax close to flame, our overarching goal is to melt the four I’s of our mission at an intimate altar experience for every student, chaperone, parent, student pastor, and senior pastor with their Creator God. Our altar/prayer time focus is the essence of our distinction from other weekend excursions you have to choose from. No gimmicks, only pure worship and the manifestation of God’s presence and power along with the resources to provide the same atmosphere when you return home.”

The Towers: As far as any news about the completion or demolition of the Towers goes, there are a hundred rumors swirling around the grounds, but there are no concrete answers. The fate of the building still lies within the court system. There is a pending jury trial in the York County Court of Common Pleas located in York, South Carolina. Until the trial is over, no one knows what the outcome will be.
Morningside Ministries in Blue Eye Missouri:
For the past several months Pastor Jim Bakker has continued to struggle with the many budgetary pressures that are attached to a worldwide ministry. Plus, he must raise the final monies to complete Lori’s House (a home for saving babies from abortion) and complete a new TV Studio. He also feels led to use some of the property that Morningside owns to create a farm in order to grow produce, raise farm animals and teach people how to can and preserve food.
Additionally, Jim Bakker needs a continuous flow of enough funds each month to pay for airtime, meet the ministries’ payroll and pay for the overhead to run Morningside. Achieving his visions and goals are sometimes more than he can keep up with, but he is resolute in spreading the Gospel and warning people about the perilous times that he fully believes we will encounter in the near future.

Recently, Mr. Jerry Crawford the contractor who owns most of the property that Morningside Ministries sits on has asked Jim Bakker to purchase the entire swath of land that includes the main building where Grace Street and all the stores and condos are located. Jim Bakker owns a few buildings on the property and parts of Grace Street, but Jerry Crawford wants to retire and is asking Jim Bakker for $11 million to turn the entire property with all the buildings over to Morningside Ministries.
Pastor Jim Bakker is believing God for a miracle since he was turned down for an $11 million mortgage. Please pray for Morningside Ministries and God’s will to be done in this overwhelming situation.
A look back ~ As some have requested, we are again posting the entire historic show of Jim & Tammy Bakker at their last celebration at Heritage USA on New Year’s Eve 1986 – just three months before Jim Bakker resigned as President of the PTL Ministry.
The video runs for 57 minutes and the first few minutes are a little jumpy.
